Judal mumbled quietly as he opened his eyes. He sat up on his bed as he stretched and yawned. He smiled as he stared out the window. The sun was out and there were several fluffy clouds in the bright, blue sky. "A perfect day to take Aladdin to the park..."
Judal was about to step out of bed when suddenly, his alarm clock started to beep continuously, giving the boy a start. "What the-" Judal's attention turned to the small, red label at the top of the clock's screen. His eyes widened and his jaw dropped slightly. "Holy crap it's Friday! I almost forgot!"
Judal jumped out of bed and rushed towards his closet, pulling out his suit and tie and tossing them onto the bed. He wriggled out of his shirt and took of his pants and tossed them right next to his work clothes. Judal pulled out a pair of dress pants and slipped into them. He yanked out a white, collared shirt and tossed it on. As he wriggled his neck and arms into the garment, Judal sprinted to the bed and put on his suit. He pulled it down slightly and ran towards the bathroom. He grabbed his comb and started to flatten out his messy hair. He braided the somewhat, neatly combed strands and dashed out the door towards the kitchen. In the middle of the hallway, Judal froze and knocked frantically on Aladdin's door. "Aladdin? Aladdin are you up?"
Not receiving a response, Judal pushed open the door and looked around, only to see the the room was empty. Judal's eyes widened as he dashed towards the kitchen. "Aladdin?! Aladdin where are you?! Aladdin?!"
As Judal ran into the kitchen, he saw his little brother happily eating a bowl of cereal. "Oh, hi Judal! Can we go to the park today?" Judal stared at Aladdin's hopeful eyes and excited smile with a look of shock and hurt. "Oh Aladdin, I'm so, so sorry. We can't go to the park today." "Oh...Well, that's ok! Maybe we can go tomorrow!" "I can't do that either Aladdin. I have to work overtime for the rest of this year and all of next year. Which means, no more park..." "What?!"
Aladdin looked so hurt by Judal's words, and the older could see that tears were forming in his little brother's eyes. Judal walked up to Aladdin and wrapped his arms around his brother. "I'm sorry..." Aladdin started to whimper at the response and hugged onto Judal. The older sighed and stared out the window. "I'll find someway for you to go to the park I promise." "R-Really?" "Of course Aladdin. Anything for the world's most amazing little brother."
Judal kissed Aladdin on the forehead and smiled slightly as he Aladdin stopped whimpering. "I'm going to go to work now. When i get home, I'll be sure to find out someway for you to still have fun when I'm at work." "Thank you Judal..."
Judal hummed contently and kissed Aladdin on the forehead once more before letting go and standing up. "I'll pick you up early today, two thirty. I know that I used to always pick you up at that time but that might have to come to a halt, at least until I find a way to fix it." "Ok..." "I'm going to head to work now. Are you almost finished with breakfast?" Aladdin nodded and took one last scoop of cereal before grabbing the bowl and placing it in the sink. "Yup! Come on, you can't be late to work!"
Aladdin sprinted towards Judal and grabbed him by the wrist as the two ran out the door.
"I'll find a way to turn things back to normal...Well...I'll at least have to try..."
