Jisung is in a void of nothingness before he is woken up by a smiling boy, looking directly in his eyes. As soon as he realizes who it is, he lets a breath he didn't know he was holding.
It was Felix, his best friend. For a moment, just a split second, he forgets what transcended last night.
He forgets the petals, the tight feeling in his chest, and only focuses on his friend.
But only for a second.
His smile immediately drops as he looks away from the boy in front of him. Fearing that if he looked for too long, his best friend would read him like a book.
Felix frowns with him, noticing the sudden shift in mood.
"What's wrong, Sungie?" Felix says, his voice laced with concern.
Jisung only blinked in response before he started laughing, Felix following suit in just a few seconds.
"Okay, now leave so I can get up." Jisung says, still giggling from earlier.
"Fine, fine." Felix replies jokingly
Felix moved his way to the door, sparing one last glance to the boy smiling at him.
Felix left.
As soon as he closed the door, Jisung almost darted straight to the bathroom in his room.
He felt like throwing up. He felt so dizzy. How long was he gonna lie? How long was he gonna live?
Jisung got through his morning routine. His body feels as if it's on autopilot.
He walked out of the room, putting on a mask so he could just get through the day quicker.
Felix feels him acting.. off. He sees through the mask. He isn't oblivious to the male responding slower than usual or seeming quieter.
He would talk to him later about it.
The day passed by in a blur. Jisung didn't really want to pay attention. Now, he's sitting in his room, spaced out.
Instead of crying all the time- he just feels lost. Jisung would say a deep phrase about a being a stray balloon or something, but he's too tired.
Because of the state he's in, he doesn't hear the knock on his door - or it opening.
He only notices the boys presence when he puts his hand on Jisungs shoulder.
Jisung doesn't flinch. He just slowly looks at his best friends worried face.
"Hey, you good?" Felix says, the worry seeping deep in his voice
Jisung can't get anything out. The only things that come are tears to his eyes, which he blinks away quickly.
He felt that if he spoke, everything would spill out.
---------------------------------------------------------‐-----------------
Felix isn't oblivious to the tears threatening to spill in the others' eyes. His friend had never been like this before, and he didn't know what to do.He wanted to hurt anyone who made Jisung upset like this. It wasn't -... whatever. He needed to focus on the boy in front of him.
Felix wrapped his arms around jisung, embracing him before saying, "Tell me. Please? I don't like seeing you sad.".
It was a few minutes before Jisung said anything. Felix suspects it was to prepare what he had to say.
"I-I have.." Jisung paused for a moment.
"I have the hanahaki disease."
Felix felt his heart drop.
"What?" He said while pulling Jisung back.
Jisungs face was wet from tears, his face red, and his forehead had a mark on it from Felixs sweater.
A million things were going through Felix's mind.
Who was he in love with?
Will he be okay?He shouldn't be upset. Not when Jisung is like this.
But he couldn't stop tears from falling down his eyes. For his best friend. For the disease blooming in Hans lungs, but most importantly, for the fact that the one he loves doesn't love him back.
But he couldn't be selfish. It's not Jisungs fault. He would just settle for helping him like he always does.
"Who is it?" Felix manages to croak out.
"Minho"
That was enough to set his heart on fire and start blooming a boquet in his lungs, too
