Edward POV

Dear Journal,

It has been 3 months since I took the love of my life to prom.

It has been 3 months since my best friend and I found out that he could become human again.

It has been 3 months since Alex became obsessed with trying to become human.

It has been 3 months since my life changed forever.

It has been 5 days since I left to save myself.

I closed my journal and set my pen aside. A lot had changed since prom, the life I once knew was no more, the man I once loved was now a mere shadow of who he used to be and once again I found myself alone, surrounded only by the tsunami of stranger's thoughts

Well okay maybe I was being a bit dramatic with that last part, but could you blame me, my life was over, I had nothing left to live for if the man I loved didn't love me. So I did what any heartbroken man would do, I sought a way to end it all, and that is how I ended up at Leonardo Da Vinci Airport Rome, on my way to the Volturi, seeking an end to my eternal misery.

Unsurprisingly, the sun was out, but to be fair it was the middle of June after all, at least now I know that the next time the love of my life breaks my heart, I should ask them to do it in the winter so I wouldn't have to keep walking in the shadows like a total creep.

I was on high alert the entire time, the volturi had to know I was here and it would only be a matter of time before they came for me. I was proven correct when I felt a jolt of pain in my body when I was minutes away from the cathedral that the volturi used as one of their bases. I bit down on my lip to keep the screams inside, it felt as if I was being burned alive.........painfully.

Suddenly it all stopped and I collapsed right in the middle of the empty pavement. "Well well well, what is the animal eater doing so far from his master, oh pardon me, I mean father." Of course they sent Jane to come after me, god forbid the big three ever get their asses off of their plush red chairs to do anything themselves.
