/Next day/

she still ignored me, it's not like I was staring at her window all night waiting for her to come home and the fact that she was with him again.

"Why are you still ignoring me, Jae?" she looks at me, I feel so exposed. it's like she can see right through me.

"I'm not Kai" she murmurs what, Kai? since when she called me by my nickname and not my real name.

"YA! you've shown nothing but the cold shoulder since you've been hanging out with that peasant" she looked at me and rolled her eyes, how dare she?

"Kai, it's too early for this, move and how did you get into my room. I'm sure it was locked"

"Mum let me in" I say

"she's still at work you little shit, ugh did you break in?"

"I did not break in; this is my house too"

"You house is next door you idiot" she moves me aside before going to her bathroom and closing the door behind her.

"This is so unfair" I whine, and I hear her sigh.

"Jongin go pick up Rose. Did you forget I drive now?" She opens the door dressed for school and toothbrush in mouth.

"Besides I know why you're really here" she raised her eyebrow. "Me and Jimin worked then got dinner. It's nothing to big besides"

"Does mum know him?" I chimed and she nodded.

"They've met, mum enjoys his company" my mouth dropped open. She's already introduced him to mum. What is this.

"Now if you please stop being in my business. Go take care of your own" she smiles as she shoves me out of her room.

I watched from my window to see him leave the house. I put my hand on my heart to try and calm it down. This is stupid. I can't be in love with him anyone but Kai. Last night was a bit of relieve. I didn't have to think about much. Jimin kept me company even though he didn't need too.

"Jae you good?" I look around until I see Taemin, Kai's twin brother. He smiles.

"Do you mind if I catch a ride with you? My bike is at the mechanics for the time being was going to ask Jongin but I can't stand his girlfriend" he laughs "Sure"

I grab my bag and join Taemin in his car. As we drive to school, Taemin fills the silence with light-hearted banter, trying to distract me from my tangled thoughts. I appreciate his effort, and it brings a small smile to my face.

When we arrive at school, I thank Taemin for the ride and head towards my locker. The hallways are bustling with students, and I try to navigate through the crowd while keeping my mind focused.

Suddenly, I spot Jimin walking towards me with a friendly smile. "Hey, Jae!" he greets me, his voice warm and inviting.

"Hey, Jimin," I respond, returning his smile. It's refreshing to see a familiar face, especially amidst the chaos that has been my life lately.

Jimin falls into step with me as we walk towards our first class. We engage in light conversation, discussing our plans for the day and sharing a few laughs along the way. Being around Jimin feels comfortable and easy, and I momentarily forget about the complicated dynamics involving Kai and Rose.

As the day progresses, I find myself caught up in my classes, trying my best to focus on the lessons but it's been hard especially with Kai in my head.

Physical Education class arrives, and I reluctantly change into my gym clothes. During the class, we engage in a game of volleyball. Rose, being the competitive and popular girl she is, seems determined to outshine everyone on the court. As I try to spike the ball, Rose unexpectedly pushes me, causing me to lose balance and fall awkwardly.

Pain shoots through my ankle, and I let out a cry of discomfort. The whole class turns their attention towards me, including Rose, who wears a concerned expression.

"Oh my gosh, Jae! Are you okay?" she exclaims, rushing towards me, playing it off that she didn't just push me.

"I-I think I sprained my ankle," I manage to utter through gritted teeth. The pain intensifies with each passing second.

Rose quickly takes charge, pretending to be helpful. "Don't worry, I'll take you to the nurse's office. Just lean on me," she says, wrapping her arm around me for support.

I reluctantly accept her assistance, even though doubts swirl in my mind. .

As Rose escorts me to the nurse's office, she leans closer and whispers in my ear, her tone laced with a warning. "Stay away from Kai and the rest of EXO, Jae. It'll be in your best interest." I hadn't seen this side of Rose, she's not as sweet or innocent but she is dating Kai not like he would even believe me.

In the nurse's office, I get my ankle examined, confirming that it is indeed sprained. The nurse provides me with a wrap and advises me to take it easy for a few days.

Jimin's concerned gaze meets mine as I exit the nurse's office, my ankle wrapped and throbbing with pain. He quickly approaches me, his eyes filled with worry.

"Jae are you okay? I heard what happened in PE class. That sounds intentional," Jimin says, his voice filled with genuine concern.

 "I don't know," I confess, my voice filled with unease.

Jimin's brows furrow as he listens, his expression turning serious. "I've noticed she's not as sweet as she makes to be" he says, his eyes scanning the hallway as if searching for answers.

I shake my head, frustration seeping into my voice. "it's fine dude" I say, my tone filled with a mix of sadness and frustration. I glance at him and give him a smile. 

"Lean on me" he says putting his arm around my waist. "I know you're into Kai but sometimes Jae. I wish it were me" He adds giving me a playful smile.

"Right, you're funny Jimin" I roll my eyes at him. He has always been nice to me. I still don't understand why Kai doesn't like him. 

"I can't believe you" We both turn around to see Kai and Rose. Well speak of the devil.

"What are you talking about?" I ask in confusion. I put my gaze on Rose, and I could see her grinning. 

"you're really going to fake what you did to Rose? She told me you pushed her during volleyball because she's better then you at it and you couldn't help your jealousy" Kai said sternly.

"Babe it's fine, it was an accident. I told you" 

"You're mean to be my best friend Jae but you're giving the cold shoulder and now you're intentionally trying to hurt my girlfriend? I don't even know you anymore"

"Bro, you don't even know the full story, why would Jae do that?" Jimin said holding me. I'm not even surprise about this. I look at Jimin and shrug

"I don't have time for this Kai. Believe her if you want but I'm not going to explain myself to you, Jimin take me to me home" Jimin nods. it's only the start of the week of being back to school and this is all too dramatic. I wish things were how they use to be.
