"Are you even listening to me?" Miley whined.

"No," Ofie denied opening the fridge to clear as many gatorades as possible into her bag. She moved to the cupboard to grab some snacks.

"This is really important to me!"

"I heard!" She snapped, "You're meeting the Queen, yay! Now move I'm running late!" She went to push passed Miley only for Jackson to be standing in her way.

"I need your help—."

"Yes! I know, I'll help you later—!"

"But—!"

"But—!"

"But nothing!" She yelled over them. "I get it, these things are important for you I know, I am so happy and proud, but this is important to me, so get out of my way, I'll see you guys later, bye love you!" She then proceeded to sprint out the back door and down the beach towhere Johnny's surf meet was set up. The waves were looking good.

She almost collided into Mr. Collins when she finally skidded to a halt. "I'm here!" She exclaimed as the man flinched at her sudden appearance.

"Jesus Christ! I need to get you a bell," the man huffed patting her head in greeting. Mr. Collins was a tall Italian man with green eyes and curly brown hair. He still had an accent attached to his words that Ofie always found soothing.

"Where's Johnny?"

"Warming up, he's nervous."

"Of course he is."

Ofie stood on her toes to try and see Johnny in the water over the gathering crowd.

It took a few moment for him to emerge with a look of absolute fear. He seemed to softened his he saw her.

"You look like you might faint."

"That's because I am," Jonny hunched over in dread. Taking pity on him Ophelia produced a Gatorade and a caramel granola bar.

"You are a sad, sad sight Johnny Collins," Ophelia cooed rubbing his wet back soothingly as he sat on his towel. His dad had taken up to setting their chairs and umbrellas down.

"What if I mess up?"

"You're not going to."

"What if the waves are crap—."
