Tw: Mentions of burn out, wanting to hang someone.
PEOPLE, SIMPLE MINDED PEOPLE.
Using the excuse that having fun is 'physical education'.
They're so immature, naive, hopeless, and irresponsible. It's no wonder most are drop outs by the time they reach high-school.
Most would call you arrogant, because of your summary. You're far from arrogant, because you know your words are true.
No one agrees with that mindset of yours. Calling you stuff like 'perfect' because you had actual common sense, unlike the rest of them.
They didn't realize how much their silly actions could impact their entire life.
Yet they live in ignorant bliss, most unknowing to the pure pressures of the future. It's somewhat of a blessing, really.
People, that's what people are these days.
----
Chikafuji [Name], you aren't wealthy nor poor. You had a pretty average family, but you wanted to help that average family turn to something more. So future generations wouldn't have to worry.
So that's why, at the age of 9, you've been studying. Always being at the top of your class, excelling each subject.
Yet, no one acknowledges it. Just assuming you're either an attention seeker or know it all.
It's not fair, you're just trying your best. So why does everyone else feel the need to bring you down? It's useless to think why, when the answer is obvious.
----
You've spent the whole year studying to no end. Spending all nighters just to perfect a subject you were struggling in, because if you get something lower than a 90%, you'd feel like a failure.
As you lament about this, others would complain that you're being overdramatic. That others have a worse score, but they still don't understand.
You spent countless hours studying to ace this test, they didn't.
You've sacrifed valuable time, while they wasted theirs, deciding to just hang out instead.
You tried your best, putting everything you had into it, getting uneasy and clammy while only thinking of failure. While they don't.
They'll never get it, because they're all self-centered themselves. Announcing to others that their test score is so low as if it's an achievement.
You put everything in to this just get a perfect score, while he didn't.
So why was his higher?
Did you not study enough? Was your efforts all for vain? It just wasn't fair.
It's always been like this. He always was higher then you, even when he did absolutely nothing.
You felt these intense emotions before you turned into a teenager, feeling emotions that you shouldn't be feeling, despite the fact you're still 10.
You could only glare daggers at him from across the room as he was showered with praise. Praises that he doesn't deserve.
You hate him. Absolutely despise him with every fiber in your being.
His entire existence is widdiful.
The feeling of your test papers being crinkled as you tightly held them in your hands, tears starting to stain your face as you stood far away from everyone else.
No one noticed your efforts, no matter hard you try.
Fat globs of tears rolled down your face as you sniffled, walking out of the classroom unnoticed.
Later on, sobs could be heard from the restroom as Asahi walked by. Just only recently walking out of the classroom that was filled with students, praising him.
He entered the restroom, checking each stall to find the source of crying.
Finally reaching the last stall, he was met with [Name] sobbing for no apparent reason.
He just awkwardly stood there, not knowing what to do.
----
Later on, during recess time. [Name] and Asahi could be seen at the benches. [Name] munching on a apple from Asahi's lunch box, tears still rolling down his cheeks. The boy trying to comfort you, unaware that he's the entire reason you're crying.
You can't stay mad at him when he's so considerate.
Perhaps Asahi wasn't as bad as he originally thought.
