A/n: Plotline starts a year before the show.
YOU'VE BEEN RESIDING IN YOKOHAMA, JAPAN for approximately 16 years now. School has already started, reaching the fourth (4) week.
You were actually getting ready for school right now.
Now putting on your shoes, you grab your backpack and walk out the door, not without saying bye to your parents first. You shut the door behind you, Asahi waiting for you at your front yard.
He quickly waves to you, now standing beside him, he pulls you in for a hug.
"[Name]! How were your night studies?"
Asahi was never one for studying, saying it was to much of a tedious task for him. Not like he really needed it.
"It was fine, as normal."
You viewed Asahi as your rival despite both of you being friends since fifth grade.
He smiled at you, interlocking your hands together, gently swaying them as you both made your way to school.
It took around fifteen minutes for the two of you to arrive. A group of people started swarming Asahi, both of your interlocked hands gradually loosening.
It didn't take long for them to untangle, the swarm only getting bigger and bigger. Choruses of greetings and questions mixed together, it's mostly like this everyday. Every time both of you reach school.
You knew this from the start, from when he befriended you. You felt pity for him honestly, you couldn't imagine how it would feel for your every single move to be watched.
He's popular because of his attractive looks, even you can't deny you've checked him out before.
But he's also kind. It's not a bad trait per say, but it's not very beneficial in your opinion. Most like to take advantage of it, you've lectured him before that he can't keep being a people pleaser, but you're being hypocritical on that part.
He always defends them, even if they were in the wrong. Sometimes, you wonder how both of you became friends.
Then you remember, it was because of that kindness he has.

School was the same as usual, assignments get passed out, homework along with it.
It's boring, especially when the work is so easy. You can hear people groan and complain about the work, only because of how lazy they are.
You scoff, finishing the last part of the assignment. You leave it on your desk as you leave the classroom, taking your backpack along with you.
That was your last class actually, you stuff the homework in your bag, making your way to the school gate. You make a stop at your locker though, needing to take something out. A sticky note was placed inside your locker, heart's drawn on it.
'Please meet me at the rooftop during afterschool. I have something really special to confess.'
[Name] raises an eyebrow as he continues reading the note over and over again. He closes his locker, just about to make his way to the staircase that lead to the rooftop before the sound of a notification ringed on his phone.
It turned out to be a message from his mom, requesting he immediately come home.
He completely forgot he about the note, running outside of the school gates. He arrived home quickly, looking around to see what's wrong.
He could hear his mom snickering, standing near the staircase with multiple luggages.
He then realized something, his eyes widened before groaning.
"I completely forgot the move was today!"
His mom rolled her eyes at his comment.
"Of course you did."
She retorted, asking you to bring the baggage to the moving vans.
[Name] did as she asked, finishing after 46 minutes. He honestly doesn't know why he counted the minutes, but he did.
He then texted Asahi, telling him that he was moving to Okinawa today. It was last minute and a jerk move but he forgot, okay?
But he's pretty sure he told him a few weeks earlier. So it's not that much of a problem.
Just as he finished that thought, his mom came waltzing out. She held her purse and car keys, the moving van closing and driving away.
Mom walked up to him, putting her hand on his shoulder. She sighed, mulling over her next words.
"I know this is sudden and hard for you, but it's a brand new experience, okay?"
He nods, looking to the side. He could feel his mom ruffling his hair before hopping in the car, warming it up.
He stood there, lost in thought.
His mom never told him why they were moving, she told him all of a sudden when they both were eating dinner.
He spent sixteen years here, and is currently fifteen years old. His mom was correct when she said it was going to be hard. After all, he spent a majority of his life here in Yokohama.
Footsteps could be heard behind him, he wasn't able to react in time before he got tackled in to a hug. He could feel Asahi's hair tickling his cheek, hot breath against his neck.
Asahi proceeded to nuzzle his cheek against yours, looking like a kicked puppy.
"Your leaving already? Why?"
Asahi questioned, taking a step back so you could face him.
"I don't know."
Tears prickled down Asahis face, sniffles audible. He trapped you in a bear hug, tightly pressing his body against yours. You could feel the warmth radiating from his body.
You hesitate, before hugging him back. You could feel him bury his face in to the crook of your neck.
You could feel him staining your shirt as he let out sobs.
A few minutes later, he's reduced to sniffles as well as babbling. He takes a step back, bringing his bare arm up to his face to wipe any leftover tears.
He takes his backpack off his back and puts it on the ground. Crouching, he opens the bag, pulling out a sheep plush.
He's still sniffling as he rises to his feet. He shows the the plush to you, blush evident on his face.
"I know it's not much but it's a parting gift.."
You smiled at him, taking the plush from his hands. You place it on the ground before moving closer to him, taking his chin to face you. You place a kiss on his cheek before quickly leaning away. Taking the plush and entering the car.
You sat down and put your seat belt on, your face entirely red.
You look out the window to see Asahi covering his face, ears red. His blonde hair obscuring his face.
You glance away at him, instead listening to what your mom was saying.
"I didn't know you're one of those homosexuals."
"I told you six months ago."
Your mother sighed before starting the car.
You take one last glance at Asahi, no words needed for this goodbye.
Your mom started driving away with you seated in the back.
Your next destination, the airport.
[Fun fact, I'm Half Okinawan.
-sheepish, out!]
