The reason why people commit suicide is because of the lack of hope, like there's no light at the end of the tunnel. That's when they begin to hurt themselves, and think about killing themselves. But listen, you're making a permanent decision off temporary feelings. Having a bad day does not mean you have a bad life, because life is seasonal. All life comes to us with phases of positivity or negativity. Right now you're in a positive phase? Well that's just amazing hun! I'm happy for you, but I advise that you prepare for the negative phase, the bad season, and if you're currently in a negative season right now. Hey guess what? Keep doing the work, keep pushing through, keep going and never give up because the positive season is coming. Guaranteed. What you can't determine is the timeline. If you realize that y'know you're just having a bad day, maybe a bad week, shit maybe you're having a bad month or two or maybe even a year, but you don't have a bad life.
Just go through a short list of gratitude, list all the things that make life beautiful give it a plus side y'know? Give the pros and beauty of life that it was originally made to be, take a moment to just look back at all the good memories where all your smiles aren't just to not worry anyone to cover up your pain no no no, look at the times that you were genuinely happy and remember what caused that, you could have lost everything in the span of a few months but if you have the strength to go through a bad month then surely you have the strength to go through a good one. Relive those enjoyable moments or try to do something similar. As for the list, write it all down all of it, what all of it? All the good stuff you have and had today; you woke up? Big A. You managed to get out of bed? Another A for you darling, keep going through the simple things until you have no more room to write anymore, you opened your eyelids and reveled those beautiful eyes that we all miss every night another big A for you.
You have air in your lungs?
Your hearts beating?
You feel that oxygen going into your body?
You are way better than most people so if you could show a little gratitude then tell yourself "I can deal with the suck for a few more weeks." a few months? Even better. Keep motivating yourself and giving yourself daily reminders of reasons to live until you make it further than millennias. Heck who knows? Maybe God will give you up to those exact millennias to live and enjoy life.
The question that I want to ask you today is do you have a loved one? Do you have an eternally special friend of yours? Maybe a pet that needs your care? If they're the only one of yours you have left then that's fine, keep doing it for them and in your case, you have over 200 people, maybe strangers, but just keep on going and they'll seem like way more than that in no time!
Helen, you're doing great hun, we all know it.
-Nick
