Luc Trentwood's POV( Ashlyn's mate)
Ugh, I like being an alpha and all , yet the paper work is killing me. For five hours I've been sitting here and and signing papers for treaties and organizing the pack.
Who knew that there was so much paper work involved with being an Alpha. Although I brought extra work on my self because of my last little extermination as I refer to it. If a pack refuses to accept a proposal , then I wipe them out.
If it weren't for me the pack would fall to shambles.
Alpha, the peace offering is on her way with the alpha, gamma, and a few warriors. My Beta mind-linked me.
Okay, I will be down in a minute.
Setting my paper work aside I fly down the stairs of the pack house. The pack house isn't a mega mansion like others, we prefer to keep our location low key.
I race outside to find my Beta and a few lower ranking members standing in the main meeting area.
Now I'm getting nervous for the peace offering to arrive. This type of deal is only made with small packs to keep peace and to form an alliance, but with out having to join all of the other pack members. I hope this works. Its my first time making a deal like this yet its a very common thing for other packs.
Yet as I said before I'm not like other pack leaders. While others will try to negotiate peace treaties, I prefer to wipe out a whole pack if I don't like how they cooperate with myself.
The SUV pulls up in to the curved drive way that leads to the main meeting area. I'm anxious to see our newest little slave. The said she is a hard worker, so I hope that's true. If not I'll beat it into her.
I smell the car before I see it. The smell of orange blossom and honey suckle filled my nose and excited my wolf.
Mate! Ryan shouted at me.
My anxiety sky rocketed when the car stopped. I can see my Luna now; tall, lean, and powerful. My expectations were shattered when I saw that woman, more like girl.
Shock replaced the stern expression I use to hide my anxiety.
Malnourished and small she looked nothing like I had imagined her to be. The light blue dress complemented her eyes yet hung losely to her frail figure. Her mousy brown hair framed her hollowed out face.
Disgusting
How can you be so cruel! Ryan shouted at me.
Before I could answer him she took off running. Leaping into the air she shifted into the most beautiful colored wolf I have seen. Her fur was a reddish gold color, with a white stripe down her muzzle and chest. And at her paws was white fur sticking out.
The shock of seeing my mate shift for the firs time wore off immediately and I began to bark orders.
"Find her at all cost, and don't let her get past the boarder!"
I shifted my attention the the dumfounded owners of the girl.
" how did she get away." I hissed at the men.
One spoke," I-I-I d-don't know how she slipped by us."
I groaned out in frustration and rubbed my hand down my face," who owns her."
One man stepped forward, he looked to be in his mid forties and had a slight recideing hair line," I do Alpha Trentwood, I'm her father."
"Well, tell me, Beta, why the hell was she so scared of me that she ran away from me!" I shouted in my alpha voice.
I could see the sweat beads rolling off his for head, he studded, " S-She is the omega of the pack. After she killed her mother she was too young to be a rouge, so she was lowered to the omega position."
Great! Now I have some scared little useless mate.
She is not useless at all, she is perfect in every which way. Ryan fires back as me .
Yes she is Ryan, so shut up! I shouted back at Ryan, my wolf whimpered at me.
I groaned in frustration. Next thing I see my beta, Alex, running up with a worried expression on his face.
Somebody's head is going to roll.
" I'm so sorry, alpha, the border guards tried to stop her she crossed into the rouge territory to the south." Alex finished.
My anger boiled over I glared at my mates father," ill give you till the end of the month to find her, if you don't your head will be off your shoulders. Do you understand me.
"Y-yes Alpha Trentwood" he studdered out, I could see the fear in his eyes.
I sent them off to go and hunt for her. Such cowards, they're more interested in keeping their head on their shoulders and actually looking for a pack member anything like this happen to my pack it would be banded and kicked out acceptable that they tried to pack member so lowly.
I might be the most ruthless pack later America, and might have the second largest pack in the country yet my past will always come first I wouldn't even think about trading in one of my pack members, but but that was their choice to give up a pack member not mine.
Yet to think the of all the other she-wolfs out there, I was paired with some lowly omega that runs the first time she is scared.
Pathetic, a low excuse of a wolf.
Well I just will have to reject her when I find her.
Why me? What did I do to get this pathetic excuse of a mate?
