CHAPTER NINE

As Lilah turned her head to face Adam, a soft smile graced her lips. Her eyes sparkled with curiosity and a touch of playfulness. "Adam, what are you thinking about?" she asked, her voice filled with genuine interest.

Adam's gaze shifted from the starry sky to meet Lilah's eyes, his heart beating a little faster. He took a moment to gather his thoughts, wanting to express the depth of his emotions in a way that would convey the magnitude of his feelings.

"I was thinking about us," Adam admitted, his voice a gentle whisper. "About how grateful I am to have you in my life. You've brought so much light and joy into my world, Lilah."

Lilah's smile widened, her eyes filled with warmth and affection. She reached out, gently cupping Adam's face with her hand. "I feel the same way, Adam," she confessed, her voice filled with tenderness.

Lilah's eyes shimmered with a mixture of contentment and vulnerability. She took a deep breath, her voice filled with sincerity as she shared her thoughts with Adam.

"You know, Adam, these past few months have felt like a whirlwind for me," Lilah confessed, her voice tinged with a touch of vulnerability. "I had been feeling stuck, uncertain about my path and my purpose. But since we've met, everything has changed."

"I am not like other people," Adam continued, his voice tinged with apprehension. "I am not entirely human. I was created through unconventional means, by a scientist named Victor Frankenstein. I am what many refer to as Frankenstein's Monster."

A moment of silence hung in the air, as Lilah processed Adam's words. Her eyes searched his face, and Adam could see a mix of emotions flickering in her gaze. He braced himself for her reaction, unsure of what would come next.

Lilah's eyes widened in surprise, her initial reaction tinged with disbelief. She blinked, thinking that Adam must be joking, playing some kind of prank on her. She mustered a faint smile, attempting to lighten the moment. "Nice try, Adam," she chuckled nervously. "But seriously, you don't have to make up stories to impress me."
