CHAPTER 2: UNDERSTANDING THE COMPETITOR

Moniques POV:

"Ultra... boss... mob." I mumble to myself as I scroll down to the DM button. This youtuber boy has been non-stop running throughout my mind lately, I get irritable just from the mention of minecraft. I slowly type out my message, sounding the words out as I go. Meticulously crafting out a snidey message to get him as rattled up as he does to me, promoting my channel in the progress. A couple seconds whizz by, he read my message. A light chuckle escapes from my lips, I've got him where I want him.
"Monique honey, come down for tea!" My adoptive father calls down to me,
"Yes daddy, just give me a moment!" I called back.
I met my father through music class, back when I called him Mr Parker. I often talked in spare moments with him of my passions in tap dancing, surprisingly he supported me through. He was the first one to tell me to try out my passions, my other friends just laughed in my face. As an orphan in the foster system, tap dancing was my only form of happiness. It all started when I watched the movie Happy Feet. Never in my life have I wanted to become a penguin, tap dancing and waddling was and is, my form of expressing that discovered part of me. Mr Parker and I practised tap dancing every morning, practising for the tap dance comp as a duet together as penguin and seal. I still remember that night, the scattered couple of claps after our stunning jig to the song Buddy Holly by Weezer. We came dead last, but dad assured me it was alright and dried my puffy cheeks. That's when he offered to adopt me into his home as well, to tap dance every day together, to become a YouTube sensation. "Bing!" The notification startled my process of thought, I zoomed in closer to read his answer. Heh. He really thinks his online world can beat my raw, real life landscape? He wants a challenge, my feet can crush him. My message was sent briskly with a 'woosh', the airy sound of the start of the greatest YouTuber battle in the history of the Internet.
