It feels like a dream come true to be living with Trent. As a fan of Liverpool, I have always admired his dedication and skills on the field, but being able to see him off the pitch and spending time with him every day is something I could never have imagined.
"Hey, sleepyhead," Trent says, nudging me gently as I still lay in bed. "It's a beautiful day outside. Do you want to go for a walk?"
I stretch and yawn, "Sure, let's go." As we walk, Trent takes my hand in his, and we enjoy the peacefulness of our neighborhood. "Isn't this amazing?" he asks, looking around. "All of the beautiful homes, people out walking their dogs, and we're together, enjoying it all."
I smile up at him, feeling content and grateful to have this time together. "Yes, it's wonderful. Thank you for suggesting it." We continue walking, talking about everything and nothing, and before we know it, we're heading back home.
After lunch, we decide to get a little competitive and play a game of FIFA. I'm not very good, but Trent is happy to coach and cheer me on. "Good job, Y/N! That was a great pass."
But soon enough, he's up against me in the final and showing no mercy. I groan as he slides the winning goal in, "You're too good, TAA."
He grins, "Come on now, we can't let the opposition win. Let's celebrate with some sweets." We make our way to the kitchen, and Trent starts to pull out flour and sugar. "What are you making?" I ask, curious.
"Chocolate chip cookies!" Trent replies, grabbing my hand and pulling me over. "Do you want to help me bake these?""I'd love to," I say, smiling widely. "I've never been much of a baker, but this will be fun." We spend the next hour mixing, measuring, and laughing as we put together the ingredients, all while Trent manages to get flour all over his face.
When we finally put the cookies in the oven, Trent wraps his arms around my waist from behind, nuzzling his face into my neck. "Thank you for being here with me, Y/N," he whispers. "I'm grateful for every moment we get to spend together."
I turn around to face him, seeking his eyes. "I feel the same way, Trent. This lockdown may not be ideal, but being here with you makes everything better."
As we wait for the cookies to bake, we cuddle on the couch, talking about our childhoods, our goals, and our futures. The time passes quickly, and soon we're pulling out the freshly baked treats, the perfect combination of fluffy and gooey. "These are amazing!" I say, taking a bite.
"You, my friend, are the amazing one." Trent replies, brushing a strand of hair behind my ear. "I'm so lucky to have you."
As we settle back on the couch, I know that this is exactly where I want to be, in this moment, snuggled up with Trent and enjoying the simple pleasures of life. Together, we can tackle anything that comes our way, with a love that's made stronger by each and every day.
