Sophia raced around the dorm, finally finding the door, she opens it and trips down the steps. What are those things? Sophia thought to herself as she fell down the stairs awkwardly. She landed with a thud at the bottom of the stairs. "Ouch." She got up and groaned but continued into the main hall. Some people were inside but they were eating.
"Where do I go to see the match?" Some kid pointed to a door that said, 'WAY TO MATCH!' written on it. Sophia sighed, embarrassed. She walked down the hall until she met a door. It opened to a path, with green grass on either side. BOOM. A shockwave shook the earth over and over. BOOM. BOOM! Sophia raced out onto the path and saw some bleachers and a red haze.
Sophia got off the path and raced over to the bleachers. Once she got to the bleachers the haze had gotten thicker. She felt... Tired. No, what was happening? She may have just gotten up but. She covered her mouth and climbed a ladder up onto the bleachers. She looked around. Everybody was asleep. A low moaning sound came from behind her. She swiveled around. A large mass appeared from the shadows of the mist. Its hand reached out, but Sophia dashed away.
"What the..." Sophia ran down the rest of the bleachers. The thuds of it walking got farther away. Sophia stopped and looked around; it was hard to breathe. She should have not been breathing. Breathing. Breathing... Br-
Sophia blacked out, falling onto some students. The thuds in the distance are growing closer and closer.
Mya looked left and right, trying to see which direction. The thuds got closer and closer. Until... they suddenly stopped. It was below her. It walked away.
Mya sighed in relief. "What is going on?" She breathed hard into her mask. She sat back down next to Max, who had most likely fallen to the mist first. She had tried to wake him up, but he wouldn't budge.
Something went under her again, much faster than before. She froze as it ran off the other way. The red mist seemed to get thicker. Clang... Clang. Clang, Clang, CLANG, CLANG! It was their standing next to her. Its red glowing eyes piercing through the fog like mist. "HUMAN." It reached down to grab her, but she jumped away. Another was coming. More clangs. She started running up the bleachers. The announcer's room was up ahead. They were right behind her. She climbed around students, hearing their skulls crack under the weight of the things behind her. The doors came into view. She slammed them open and quickly turned around. And slammed the door shut. They were there.
She locked the door and grabbed a nearby chair, placing it in front of the door. Breathing hard she turned around. There, standing was one of the things. No! It jumped at her, but she threw herself to the side. It growled and stood up. Banging on the door. Mya pulled out her wand, but it had already grabbed her. She screamed, but its grip was bone-crushing. She couldn't breathe, she- the door bust down, she expected to see the things, but standing there was Juliana. A crystal spike flew into the beast's head. It let go of Mya, dropping her onto the ground. Mya tried to regain her breath, but her stomach felt crushed.
"Mya!" Juliana rushed over and knelt, she almost instantly cast a high-level spell. Mya felt her bones reforming.
Mya felt air rush into her lungs as she cried. "Oh, my goodness..." Juliana stood up and cast another spell, the door reformed back into place. Then ran over the other door and locked it. She pulled the curtains over the windows. Then tried turning on the light, but the power was out. Mya continued to lay down but occasionally Juliana would walk over and check on her. Juliana walked over to the thing and pulled out the crystal. Inside it was... unpleasant. The blood was black-ish blue and, the brains were showing, but the eyes were strange. They were mechanical. Juliana put the crystal back in and walked over to the trash can. She continued to throw up into the trash can.
