New fights ( chapter 5)

As you had arrived at the barracks, he'd simply gesture for you to follow him.
"C'mon, just follow me, alright? "
He'd then head inside the barracks with his hands inside his pocket, looking back at you every so often to make sure you were following him.As you walked you saw rows and rows of beds filled with men and other soldiers were standing around.

Graves had then reached out for her arm.
" y/n you'll be staying here tonight. You'll be able to choose which bed you wish to sleep in"
The men would look over, and some would raise their eyebrows in surprise, as if they weren't expecting such an addition to their barracks, or perhaps, they haven't taken too kindly to her appearance.

You stood and quietly walked to the last bed at the end of the row away from everyone and you ignored the gazes of the man that fell upon you.
The men would continue to stare at you before one of them walked over.
"I'd be careful sleeping in the distance all alone, y/n .. "
the man said in a joking manner, and it would get a few chuckles out of his co-workers.

Graves however, walked over towards where you were and looked over at you.
"Don't mind them y/n....they're just like that okay"
He said as he patted your shoulder gently.
" What the hell does he mean by that?"
You looked at graves with a glare yet a fearful look.Graves  would then sigh.
"Listen to me y/n.  These guys are going to try and mess with you, because that's what bored soldiers do.... But just ignore them "

A few more soldiers would be approaching the two of them.
".This the new girl? .. "
one of them spoke, his expression shifting towards curiosity.
You were 14 , now living with a bunch of random soldiers and you didn't like it one bit.
More soldiers had now gathered, as they seemed to be rather curious about you.
"Yeah, she's the new girl. .. "
another spoke.
"She's just a damn civilian. "

"Don't be a dick over it. "
a man from the back spoke as he took a step towards the man who last spoke.
" She's just a kid. .. "
Graves had still kept the same demeanor as he looked at the soldier and they all looked from him to you. Graves patted your shoulder before telling you he had to go do some paperwork and he left you alone in the barracks.

The men would then walk around you, their eyes shifting to you as one of them seemed to have an awkward grin.
" Is the Commander actually adopting you, kid?."
Some of them would then laugh.
"Who does he think he is? .. "
another soldier spoke.
One of the men would then look at you.
"So why are you even here, kid? .. "
he asked, and you could tell he was rather annoyed by your presence.

'' was picked up by your commander , said i could stay here.''
You spoke quietly yet firmly towards the soldier.
'' graves ? the commander ?.''
The soldier raised an eyebrow.
'' hes adopting you ?''
Another soldier would chime in.

'' how much you wanna bet she isn't gonna last a day?.''
The soldier laughed , getting a chuckle out of his other buddies as they looked at you.
" I will last a day."
You glared at them seemingly not liking the fact they were underestimating you.
The soldier stood up and started walking up to you , sizing you up trying to intimidate you.

" I give you a week."
The soldier grinned from ear to ear.
You went to say something until one soldier stepped up.
" c,mom guys leave her alone."
The soldier scolded the others and the seemed to back away.

" man fuck you ! You think cause I'm a girl and 14 you think I can't handle shit well I fucking can you asshole."
You snapped with a glare.
Several of the soldiers seemed to remain silent at your remark, some of them even took a step back as if they thought you'd  punch them.
A soldier then chimed in.
"Watch your mouth y/n"
Another soldier spoke.

"The hell?She's only thirteen?"
Another soldier said confused.
"No, she's fourteen, dumb-ass. "
Another soldier corrected him.

"Y/n right? "
You nodded.
The soldier  remained silent, his eyes still on you.
Some of the soldiers mouths went agape and others stood quiet as they hadn't expected you
To be so bold.
" Where's your family kid ?"
One soldier asked.
" it's complicated.."
You sighed.
" How complicated ?"
He tilted his head to the side.

You just looked at him , telling him silently to drop the conversation and he took the hint and stood quiet.He sighed.
"Look, y/n I've been in the military for a long time. I know when someone's holding back information"
He then pointed at you.
"You, though I don't doubt you're still a kid, need to understand that we're a team"
He placed a hand on his hip.
" We rely and trust each other more than you can imagine."
He spoke softly , the other soldiers seemingly feeling and looking less annoyed.

" My name is Rex ."
Rex spoke softly as he stood near you.
" Listen I know you  got on a bad foot with the guys and me but listen I want to start over."
He spoke and the other soldiers looked at eachother and gave a slight nod.
You gave them a look and sighed but Rex stood up and looked at the other soldiers in the room.
" Listen up boys , y/n is a new member. She is a sister and you will treat her with Respect and treat her human. If I find out any of you bothered her in any way, someone's getting their ass kicked."
Rex spoke.

You looked at Rex confused but decided to run with it since he was trying to show he wanted you around.
" She's under my wing now along with the commander, any questions ?"
Rex eyed down the soldiers in the room.
" Rex she needs thicker skin she doesn't need a babysitter."
One soldier spoke.
You were tired of being told you were weak and such so you had enough of it. You then walked up to the soldier who was talking shit and you punched him dead in his face.

The soldier stumbled back , a look of shock on his face and your eyes narrowed.
" What the hell was that !"
The soldier shouted with a groan.
" That was a punch bitch ."
You spoke sternly.
The other soldiers in the room stood shocked and surprised at your sudden outburst and some of them had little proud looks on there face.

" You think you're tough huh?"
The soldier you punched spoke sternly.
" I'm done being seen as weak you asshole. So yeah I'll kick your ass right now if that what you would like ?"
You spoke as you got into a fighting position.
" You look like you haven't even hit puberty yet."
The soldier laughed.
" Actually sir I get my period so yes , yes I did hit puberty you Neil armstrong knock off looking bitch."
You glared.

" I like this kid already !"
One soldier in the back chimed in.
" Yeah !"
Another said as their personalities were changing now. It was until graves walked into the room and the soldiers stood straight.
" What's going on here?"
Graves spoke sternly and Rex stepped up and spoke.
" some of the boys were agitating y/n sir..."
Graves walked up to you and stood before you.
" Is that true y/n ?"
GraVes asked.

You stood and gave a nod as you stepped next to graves and looked up at him.
" Why are these soldiers bothering you?"
Graves waited for your reply.
" because I'm a girl...and a child "
You halted and glared at them.
" she's got balls, guys !"
One soldier shouted and the others chimed in as well.
" yeah she does !"

You were annoyed , you were nervous and annoyed. You didn't like this and you rather sleep outside than with these assholes. Rex stepped up and quited  the other soldiers.
" keep talking shit and you better sleep with one eye open."
You threatened and the other soldiers had amused looks on their faces.
" Come fight me then little girl."
The soldier spoke and as you went to punch him graves held you back.

Enough was enough you have come to tussle but you've kept to long to not want to get into a russle.
