Here is my next chapter, this one is a lot longer and I thoroughly enjoyed writing it. It is dedicated to a close friend 777LucyHeartfilia777. Let me know in the comments if you have any suggestions for ships or scenarios.

Hope you enjoy, happy reading.

--------------------------------------------

Levy was in her last year at the magical academy of Fairy Tail in which she had turned 18 the month prior. After intense Christmas exams she was using the little time she had left before she began her organised revision schedule for the next examinations. Manning the school library was how Levy had chosen to spent the last few quiet weeks before breaking up for winter. It was a dark Thursday evening when renown trouble maker transfer student, Gajeel Redfox walked in looking very out of place with his tight black clothes and piercings.

Before his transfer to the school, he had attended a rough rival academy which were often in scuffles with the students of Fairy Tail. On his and Levy's first meeting, she ended up injured getting between his fight with some of her closest friends Jet and Droy. They lost of course, Gajeel was tall, broad and musclar and if at the time Levy hadn't been shouting for the boys to stop fighting she might have stopped to admire his statue. Gajeel upon transferring was very apologetic and avoided the three of them out of guilt for a long while. The three had long forgiven the scuffle with Gajeel's transformed attitude. Don't get it wrong, he was still a troublemaker and the injuries he often displayed at school alone displayed the amount he got into trouble but this time he was defending the right kind of people; bullied students and misunderstood kids. Nevertheless, Gajeel remained a little cautious of upsetting Levy due to their past and her temporary black eye that he'd intended for Droy but inflicted on her.

Levy hadn't thought about that day for a long time though, and Gajeel was just another of her schoolmates now who she was as fond of as any of her peers. Looking up from her highlighted busy January schedule, she looked to Gajeel as he strolled in towards a shelf of books. She had never seen him in the library before - he didn't seem the type for casual reading and it was almost the holidays. The library was as quiet as it always was at this time; no one was venturing out in the dark cold to treck to the library building in the 6 o'clock winter wind.

Levy's POV

After a few minutes of glancing up at Gajeel to see him tracing the shelves, curiosity got the better of me. I mean he could just be looking for a book but if he was I was intrigued as to what kind of thing he read. Grabbing the trolly of books I still had to put away, I rolled it over to the history isle where I found Gajeel looking closely between books.

History? He was looking for some kind of history book, I had no idea he had an interest in history.

Sliding a book from my cart into it's correct alphabetical place I glanced again out of interest at Gajeel only to meet his piercing gaze. I decided to smile gently at him hoping to make him feel comfortable and welcome in the library, afterall it should be a place for everyone. He didn't smile back but his eyes softened a little before I looked back to my cart. After a moment I decided to break the silence.

"Ancient history is on your left, I always found that to be the most interesting" I said with a smile.

He reached left into the bookshelf and pulled out a packet of cigarettes which had been tucked between two books.

"I'm not reading shorty, but thankyou for the help finding them, I couldn't remember which section I'd hidden them in" A smirk reached Gajeel's face as he leant against the shelf facing me.
