"You took a rather harsh beating there" she awakes to the unfamiliar sound of a male's voice, her eyes so swollen they refuse to open. She could feel hands on her body, four to be exact, and the sound of breathing coming from opposing sides of her body. Her memory is faint, she could barely remember a thing, aside of course the pain. The brutal harsh pain, of a thousand needles entering through her body. No wonder why people often feared the Uchiha's genjutsu.

"Wh...where am I?" She could feel the warm liquid flood her mouth with each word, the pain in her chest a thousand times stronger than previously when rest had been demanded.

"Keep still, you're losing to much blood." A sense of danger floods through her, her fingers curl to create a hand sign "hold her still, she's trying to attack" suddenly four hands become six, and refuting is useless, she doesn't stand a chance in her current state. A sickening cough forces through her throat, and just as she had awoken, she had fallen back into a stoop slumber.

She couldn't tell how many hours had passed before finally waking fully, this time her eyes aching while fluttering towards a soft open. Darkness, only a candle would light the strange room she laid within, not a soul in sight or at least what little vision she could see.

"You're rather lucky you know?" The voice proved her wrong, forcing her to glance around the room all over, this time seeing a soft glimmer of light from the corner. "Sasuke says you're with the hidden Leaf" so that was his plan this entire time? To put her inside the lair of the enemy, to become his personal spy to ensure the safety of his younger brother. What a selfish man.

"Who are you?" Her voice harsh.

"So feisty" he's mocking her, the tsking from his mouth an annoyance difficult to swallow. "You could thank me for saving your life, these kids lack respect these days." She stays silent, never interrupting the enemy while they make a mistake, and each word he speaks is yet another one. "My name is Kabuto" a name she knows well, Danzo often spoke of his medical precision, and how his talents were hidden behind...

Orchimaru.

Her suspicions were confirmed, Itachi truly was a genius strategist. Typically, she wouldn't mind following his will and carrying his wishes, but this was a mission and wish she could not achieve. Not right now, not when the ANBU and Danzo was so fragile and delicate. So many secret's left to discover, secrets she would never come to find while playing babysitter for the Uchiha brat. No. She needed to escape.

His footsteps, they were growing closer and closer, this time her fingers laid still to not give her actions away. Closer, closer, two more steps and...

"She plans to attack" that voice... she knows it... Sasuke...

She takes the sudden element of surprise to her advantage, several quick hand signs being preformed until suddenly she feels her soul leaving her physical vessel. The substitution had worked, but the battle had hardly begun. Of course they wouldn't let her go so easily, and yet to her surprise as she manifests outside the lair, there isn't a single soul following after her. How odd. She doesn't hesitate, instead running off into the surround forest, ensuring there was no pursuit.

How truly odd indeed.

~♠~ Sasuke's POV ~♠~

"You're just going to let her get away?" Annoyance, after all the trouble they had gone through to track her down, just to let her go without a single fight.

"There are more important matters at hand Sasuke..." Ochimaru reminded with a shrug bouncing along his shoulders, a harsh chuckle falling from his lips. "You seemed more eager to save her than we did."

It was true, when encountering her outside of the lair broken and near death, his heart had suddenly jolted with a nostalgic feeling. They had been friends once, long before his emotions had been stolen and his heart pumped with only hatred. She had been there in a world of fake smiles, had spoken truths that most would try to evade. In some sense, she had been the only true friend he had growing up.

Not to mention...
Itachi...

"I had no intentions of saving her" there is a small lie somewhere within those words and he hates that he can feel it within himself. "She is a useful tool to use to get to Itachi is all."

"Sure sure" he hates those smirks that say otherwise, as though questioning his hatred for his older brother. He'd prove to them what his hatred was worth, he'd prove it to all of them. Daiya is no exception, if her alliance is still with Itachi...

He'd kill her too.
