chapter one

bad start

It's my first time meeting Straykids as the ninth member. I'm excited but nervous at the same time. Thoughts rush through my head just thinking of how big this is, the first boy group with a female member. I knew the boys had a lot of work ahead preparing for our debut, so did I, but I couldn't wait to get to know them.

I regain thought as I stare at the door in front of me which leads into their dorm, I knock but there's no answer. I raise my fist ready to knock a second time, but hold back from hearing a faint sound of yelling coming from inside the dorm.

Curious, I wait there to see what will happen next. I hear the sound of feet rushing to the door and seconds later it swings open.

Bang Chan opens the door and we lock eyes causing both of us to smile.

"Hi y/n!" he smiles, wrapping his arms around me in a hug. "Hi." I say shyly with a small wave  and a nod of my head as he invites me in.

He was the only member I had met with previously so he was the only one I felt somewhat comfortable with.

I step inside and hear the door close behind me. "Sorry about the mess" Chan says.

I laugh under my breath nervously. I've wanted to be an idol ever since I could remember and it was finally happening, I'm in the Stray Kids dorm, the ninth member.

I look at the boys surrounding me, all looking at me with different expressions displayed on each of their faces as if they've never seen a girl before.

I smile awkwardly then slightly jump from Felix breaking the awkward silence, scoffing as he rolls his eyes at me. He then goes back to what I assume to be his room.

I look at Chan and he just shrugs.

He suggests that we all get to know each other so we all go to the living room. I sit down on the couch, Chan sitting next to me with Changbin beside him while the others scatter themselves on the floor as stare up at me like lost puppies.

A good minute of dead silence goes by. I look at Chan and awkwardly whisper to him "this is really awkward."

"I agree" Seungmin says. My cheeks go dark red, I didn't think the others heard me.

Minho grabs the remote and puts on a movie to ease the tension. There's some small talk here and there and before I know it I'm getting tired and so are they.

"We don't have a bed for you yet so you can take mine. I will sleep on the couch." Chan says with a sleepy voice.

"No it's fine I can sleep on the cou-" I get cut off by the boys arguing about who will sleep on the couch.

"I will." Jeongin speaks up, "No, me." Hyunjin adds, "Guys I will do it." Han says.

I could barely hear my own thoughts at this point.

I look at the arguing boys in front of me and meet eyes with Minho. I can tell he's not going to be pitching into this conversation, he wants his bed. He gives me a look as if he's enjoying this, and I can't say I'm not either.

Suddenly I hear a deep voice from the corner of the room and everyone goes silent, it's Felix.

"She can have my bed. I'm going out tonight and I won't be back until morning."

"Felix." Chan warns.

He doesn't even bother to answer, heading to the front door. The door slams shut and Chan scoffs.

"It feels like he doesn't like me very much" I laugh.

"Don't take it personally," Changbin reassures with a chuckle.

"Yeah he is still getting used to having a female member. He wasn't very open to the idea, just give it some time and he will eventually warm up to you. I mean he gave you his bed, that's a start." Chan laughs.

"Too bad. He's the only hot one here." I smile.

"Ewwwww." Hyunjin says with a fake gag.

The rest of the boys laugh and one by one they go to their rooms and go to sleep. I ask Chan where Felix's room is as I grab my bag and he leads the way. He tells me where his own room is in case I need anything then closes the door behind him.

The first thing I notice is that his room is spotless, there was nothing on the floor or on the bed, everything in his room served a purpose, there was no clutter.

I turn off the light and sit down on the edge of his bed looking around the room. I lean back hitting my back against his bed smelling his cologne bouncing off the sheets as I stare at the ceiling.

I grab my bag, getting my PJs and toothbrush out. I crawl into bed after getting ready and thoughts rush through my head as I get another whiff of his delightful cologne.

There's something about Felix that's so intriguing I think to myself.

I wonder is he's single.
