Sky Flare, a portal master apprentice to Eon helps the Skylanders rebuild the core of light, guide them and defeat Kaos to fight back the darkness that threatens Skylands.

After the events of The Core of Light explosion, Hugo and Sky Flare with a pilot named Flynn to get them to a town where a tornado is destroying the town.

"Wowsers," said Flynn, "Look at all these balloons leaving. Parking is gonna be a snap!"
Flynn thought wrong.
"They're not just leaving, they're evacuating!" said Sky Flare.
"Something is terribly wrong!" said Hugo.
"Ah! That explains the flying rocks!" said Flynn.
Flynn then lowers is balloon down, and Hugo and Sky Flare exit the Flynn's balloon.
"Are you two sure this is a good idea?" asked Flynn.
"Just go on, Flynn!" said Hugo, "Get to higher ground! I'll meet you on the other side of town!"
"But what about him?" asked Flynn, mentioning Sky Flare.
"I'll find a way myself. I trust that Hugo will be alright," said Sky Flare.
"Okay then. Righty-O. Good luck, you two," said Flynn as he takes off.
Hugo and Sky Flare then head to a small island with a windmill building on it.

Hugo then got nervous about the message both him and Sky Flare got from Eon.
"Master Eon said help would be coming. He said to be right here," said Hugo.
"First, the Core explodes, then we start hearing voices - and NOW we're in a middle of a village being ripped apart by who-knows-what... Clearly - I'm losing my mind."
"Hey, Hugo. Calm down. I trust Eon with my soul that he found help," said Sky Flare.
"You're right. But is it true that he found some help?" asked Hugo.
"We'll just wait and see," said Sky Flare.
Then a few lights come crashing down in front of them to reveal... The Skylanders!
