~ Mark's POV ~
A few weeks passed since the party, and me and Bella grew even closer. Since we were both in the same physics class, so we organised since there was a big in class assessment that we would study together over at her house. When the day finally came, I was getting ready to come down when I heard the buzz of my phone on my wooden drawers. I checked the screen, Bella was trying to call me.
"Hey" I say, putting the phone on speaker as I continue to get dressed
"Hey Mark, how are you?" She says sweetly.
"I'm good thanks, and you?" I ask
"Yeah I'm great actually, you still coming down?" She asks me, checking
"Yep I'm just getting changed now, hey do I bring down both the pink and blue books?" The pink book was slightly more advanced than the blue one, and we needed to know stuff from both books.
"Umm yeah bring down both just incase," she said.
"Ok cool, I'll be there in like 20 minutes." I replied
"Ok bye," she said, extending the 'e' sound, "I'll see you soon."
"Yep see you." I said, pausing from getting changed to tap the end call button. Once the call had ended, I finished getting changed, and grabbed my MacBook, phone, textbooks and notes book. I put them in my carry bag and began the short walk down to Bella's house. I stopped along the way at a bakery and bought 2 bagels, it was 11:30, we would be having lunch soon and I was starving. After a short walk from the bakery to Bella's house, I finally arrived and walked up to the front door. I knocked on the door and heard Bella yell out.
"Come in!"
I opened the door and walked down her hallway to find her sitting on her bed in her room.
"Hey Mark," she said gleefully, "you ready to do absolutely no study?" She said jokingly.
"Yep, and maybe we could actually study a bit as well," I said, gesturing towards my bag.
"Ugh fineee." she replied, and she managed to squeeze a laugh out of me. She was cute that way.
"You can sit down there if you," she pointed to the end of her bed. I sat down, and began to get my stuff out of my bag, getting my notes and books, but neglecting my MacBook in my carry bag. I had spent quite a bit of money on something I barely even used, I'll probably end up selling it and downgrading, but I do like it a lot so I'm not quite sure.
"Before we start," Bella said, interrupting my financial planning, "how's things on your side of the world been?"
"Pretty uneventful actually, apart from the reason we're both here right now."
"Aha nice."
"Yep, and you?"
"Just the same pretty much," she said, "I'm hungry as fuck though, I might go make something,"
"No wait," I shot back before she hopped up, "I brought your favourite, bagels"
"Mark... oh my god... I fucking love you" she said and jumped into my arms, which I wasn't expecting. I caught her, and slightly surprised myself, but I do have to say she is a great hugger. We hug quite often, being best friends and all, but sometimes I wished we hugged as more than friends. This time was one of those times. After we finally ended our embrace, I reached into the bottom of my bag an got out the two bagels. We did our usual thing with our bagels, sliced them in half, and had one with Nutella and the other with melted cheese.
"Mark, thank you so much for that, that was the best" she said, licking the Nutella off of her finger.
"No problem, now onto some study?"
"Sure" she replied, as she walked over to her desk to grab her books. We studied for about 2 hours, before we decided to take a break.
"Hey Mark," she said, "do you remember that time when we went to that party and I got drunk?" She seemed kinda nervous.
"Umm yeah? What about it?" I asked back
"Well I've been thinking recently... about what I said there"
"Yeah?" I said, wanting to know where she was going here
"Well, you know the reason I said what I said was because I was drunk right?"
"Yeah of course Bella, and it's cool I understand." being completely honest, that night had killed me. As much as I wanted to do what she was asking, she was still drunk.
"Ok, and what you did afterward was really kind and sweet of you," I blushed at this, and gazed down at the floor, "your like the best friend ever I swear to god" she said
"Aww thanks Bella, you're a really..." I didn't get to finish my sentence as all of a sudden I felt Bella's lips crash onto mine, just out of nowhere, and for a split second I forgot about everything else in life. Forgot about everything except Bella and me, just there, kissing. I didn't know why she did it, but I did like it a lot, our lips dancing together. Eventually, she pulled away slowly, and sighed heavily.
"Mark I am so so sorry about that, I didn't even know why I did it," she started apologising. Maybe she didn't realise how much I enjoyed it myself.
"Mark I'm really, REALLY sorry about..." this time I kissed her, cutting her short of her sentence. This time was a lot better. I kissed her bottom lip, slightly right of the middle, for a good few minutes we were just sitting there, with me leaning over the bed and all of our books, connected at the lips. After a while, I eventually slipped my tongue in and we went for a bit longer, until we pulled away. My heart was racing, I still hadn't fully comprehended what had just happened.
"Huh," was the first thing she said. Ohh no, what if she wasn't expecting that. What if she didn't mean for it to become more than it already was.
"Well that was amazing!" She said, with pure glee all over her face.
"Holy shit Bella... you had me worried there for a second." I felt relief wash over me after hearing what she said.
She just laughed. God I loved her laugh, it was just amazing. And she was a great kisser too.
"Well considering what just happened," I started to say, "would you be interested in grabbing a coffee sometime?". In all honesty, I never expected this to happen. I came here to study, but hey, who am I to complain.
"Mark I would love to," she said, even more relief washing over me. I wondered why I was worried, after what had just happened.
"Ok, Wednesday after the in-class?" I asked
"Sounds amazing," she said.
"Speaking of the in-class, should we get back to our work?" I asked, trying to direct us back on track, after all, we both needed to do well in this.
"Yep, sure." She grabbed her book off the floor, which I had knocked off (accidentally, of course) during our little 'session'. We studied hard, often joking about what had happened just then, but got all the other bits we weren't entirely sure about down pat. When it finally came time for me to leave, I was waiting at the door saying my goodbyes.
"Ok I guess I should get going now Bella." I said, sad I was leaving,
"Ok, well you better get going then, shouldn't you?"
"Yeah sure, bye" I said as I walked out the door, as I turned around to say one more thing, I feel Bella come crashing into me, in an expected, but great hug.
She nuzzled her head up against my chest
"I had a great time today Mark, thank you so much." She said, embracing me tightly
"That's fine, I had great time too." We hugged for quite a while, me not wanting to leave, her not wanting me to go. I brushed her hair behind her ear with my fingers, and she pulled her head out of my chest, and looked up at me.
~Bella's POV~
I looked up from my little comfy spot on his chest, and gazed up into his gorgeous blue eyes. I got lost staring into his eyes, and I just stared up at him, and went up on my tippy toes and leaned in close to him, kissing him one last time never he left. As I watched him drive away in his car, and I watched him pull out, and said goodbye to him one last time before he left. Even though I knew I'd see him tomorrow, I didn't want to say goodbye. I walked inside, a dent straight to my phone to tell all my closest friends about what just happened.
