You were sick, your body deteriorating from an unknown illness. You had kept it hidden, not wanting Neteyam to know the truth. With no parents and no one to rely on, you felt like a burden, undeserving of his love and attention.

Neteyam, with his golden orbs locked onto yours, sensed something amiss. "____, what's on your mind? I can tell something's bothering you," he said, concern etched into his handsome face.

He then scratched his chin and smirked, "Probably thinking about how handsome your boyfriend is."

With a roll of your eyes, you attempted to deflect the gravity of your emotions. "Oh, please, Neteyam. We both know I'm the better-looking one here," you replied, trying to mask your pain with laughter. You knew time was running out, and you yearned to spend every precious moment you had left with him. But as the day drew to a close, you couldn't ignore the reality of your impending fate. You gazed at Neteyam's figure, your hands intertwined, cherishing this moment as if it were your last. And indeed, it was to be your last. Night fell, and you retreated to your tent, your heart heavy with the knowledge that Mo'at and Neytiri were in the process of selecting Neteyam's mate. They sought someone healthy, intelligent, and significant in the clan, qualities you felt you lacked. Yet, you had made peace with your circumstances. You were a simple Na'vi, content with the little you had asked for.

Lying on your mat, you stared at the ceiling, your breathing labored. The last person you saw had completed you, and in your final moments, you reminisced about the memories you shared with everyone before your illness took hold. Mother Eywa enveloped you in her warm embrace, carrying you with her into the afterlife. There was no pain, no sorrow. You felt only happiness.

The next morning, the bustling sounds outside your tent caught Neteyam's attention. He searched for a familiar figure but found none. A sense of unease gnawed at him as if something was amiss, something crucial missing from his life. Distracted by his responsibilities and duties, Neteyam resolved to visit you the following day, eager to surprise you with a bouquet of flowers. It was a tradition passed down from his father to his mother, a gesture of affection that he wanted to emulate. He smiled at the thought, anticipation building within him. He couldn't wait.

That night, you appeared in Neteyam's dreams. You were vibrant, full of energy and life, a stark contrast to your recent appearance.

"Neteyam," you softly called his name, your voice a soothing melody. He eagerly turned towards your voice, craving its familiarity.

"____?" Your laughter echoed through the dream world, a joyous sound that touched his soul.

"No matter what happens, please promise me that you'll be happy," you pleaded, your hands gently cradling his cheeks.

Neteyam chuckled, finding your words and behavior peculiar. "Of course, I promise to be happy. But why are you being so strange?"

The dream felt real, too real.

"I'm not sure... I've been thinking about our future together, and I realized some things aren't possible. But it's okay," you said, trying to lighten the mood.

It was a final visitation, your last chance to connect with him before joining Eywa.

You caressed his cheeks, savoring the sensation. "I see you, Neteyam," you whispered.

"I see you, ____," he replied, his words filled with a mixture of confusion and longing.

Neteyam's eyes opened, jolting him awake. It was a strange but vivid dream, unlike any he had experienced before. He yawned and got up, eager to pick some flowers for you, unaware of the tragedy that awaited him.

As he made his way to your tent, a commotion drew his attention. People had gathered outside, their faces etched with sorrow. He quickened his pace, joining his sisters, Kiri and Tuk. "What's happened? Why are you crying?" he asked, his voice filled with anxiety.

Kiri sobbed, her voice trembling with grief. "She's passed away, Neteyam. Two days ago, she never woke up." Guilt consumed him. He had neglected to check on you, and now it was too late. As the clan gathered for your funeral, Neteyam stood beside your lifeless body, unable to tear his gaze away.

Days passed, and he remained by your side until Jake and Neytiri pulled him away.

"She wouldn't want to see you like this, Neteyam," Neytiri said, her voice choked with tears.

"She's gone," Neteyam whispered, his eyes devoid of light. He had lost all feeling, every ounce of emotion drained from his being.

Neteyam's words pierced the air, his grief consuming him. But deep down, he knew it wasn't his fault. You had been sick from the beginning, and he had been unaware. As he stared at your lifeless form, the reality of your absence sunk in, and he mourned the loss of the person he had loved so dearly.

You were ordinary to everyone else, but to him, you were extraordinary. And now, you had vanished, leaving behind only memories of a love that would never be forgotten.
