Charlotte placed the fresh served food onto the table smiling at the customers. Helping her mother out at Sullivan's was starting to take up most of her free time but she could never complain. It kept the brunette busy and she was helping her mother at the same time.

"Anything else I can help you folks with?" The brunette sent the pair a small smile before they responded with a shake to their head.

"Hello! Table for one, or are you waiting on folks?" Dana-Sue asked the man stood in the middle of her restaurant.

"I'm supposed to ask for Dana Sue Sullivan." The man answered causing Charlotte to turn over to his direction.

"Oh, well, that is me, sweetheart. What can I do for you?" Her mother asked the man in the plaid shirt with a massive smile.

"You've been served." The man finished handing the woman an envelope before walking out.

Charlotte stepped closer to her mother looking over at the brown envelope in her hands.

"From who?" She asked her mother eager for Dana-Sue to open up and read it.

Except Dana-Sue kept the same devastated facial expression looking around finally hearing a clapping her eyes meeting the man she had fired previously.

"I knew you were gonna look like a cat stuck in a swing when you got those, but it was better than I even dreamed." Charlotte was already angered by the man's voice.

"You're suing me?" Dana-Sue ripped the envelope open reading through the pages quickly before looking back at him with a snigger.

"Wrongful termination?" She added with a raised eyebrow. "Yeah. Now, everyone in South Carolina is gonna know what a lousy boss you are." Brad began to step closer to the mother.

"You take credit for all of my hard work, and you claim it for yourself. Now, you and I, we both know that if it weren't for me, this place would've folded the day it opened." The man continued publicly declaring his feelings for her mother.

Charlotte had to bite her lip to hold herself back from saying anything. The sharp pain from her bottom lip was nothing to what she had in her head.

"I slaved away in that kitchen, making this place a success, and, what, you're gonna kick me to the curb? You hog all the glory for yourself?" Brad started to get agitated his eyes not leaving hers.

"Cut the crap, my mother worked her ass off to get this place to where it is. Maybe if you weren't such a drunk—" Charlotte swore at the man stepping in front of Dana-Sue.

Brad quickly filled with rage stepping over to the young girl for publicly outing that his habits on shift. Charlotte never blinked a lash coming face to face with the man.

"Listen here you little brat." Brad lost his temper approaching Charlotte. "Stop it." Dana-Sue intervened trying to protect her oldest daughter.

With one swift move of the brunette's hand she smashed the plate of food into his stomach leaving stains all over his clothes.
