There were times when you wondered what Hibari would be doing at times.
Night fell over the horizon of your comfy home as you looked nonchalantly through the window. School seems to be over as you just leaned over the window sill, staring and thinking of almost... nothing. There was absolute silence around you, and you couldn't hear a thing as you began to put an image into your thinking process.
Hibari.
What does he do on days like this? Probably lie down on the school rooftop, as usual. But then, he never seems to be anywhere else besides at school. Always going around, throwing out what he calls discipline around to anyone who breaks the rules. What a sadist.
"Ah." You uttered.
Pitter Patter...
It was beginning to rain. Small droplets fall one-by-one, but the force got stronger each second. You still stared boredly outside, not minding it, until another thought came to mind.
What if Hibari was sick? But that never seemed likely. Especially when he was always present at school for Pete's sake.
Without knowing it, you began to grab your coat and run out the door, not waiting for anything. Of course, you made a reach for a plain umbrella and opened it before running to Namimori chuu~. What was that uneasy feeling pounding in your ribcage? You didn't feel right.
Once you made it to the gate, you panted quite a bit, and slowly pushed the gate and intruded. It was quiet, except for the pitter pattering and your feet splished and sploshed at the little puddles of muddy water that formed over the school grounds.
You walked with half worry in your eyes, stepping silently as your foot steps gradually grew softer as you neared a certain object.
A person in a black coat sat against the walls, soaked in rain and coughing a bit.
Before he almost passed out from the cold overtaking him, you ran up to him and held your umbrella over his figure.
"What are you doing, herbivore?" Hibari growled.
You didn't say anything, but smiled reassuringly at him as his eyes glowered at you and your kindness.
"What are YOU doing here in the rain? I bet you're all sick. You can't even walk properly." You countered. It was enough to get Hibari to stand up, staggering a bit before he practically fell from pressure coming over his senses.
Landing in your arms, you struggled a bit from the weight and slung his arm over your shoulders as you dragged him to the school infirmary to rest up.
You lay down the dead weight on a bed and pulled the sheets over him. Of course, you managed to take care of Hibari without much of a problem. It was all good. If you ignored how Hibari was NOT into the idea of having you take care of him. Of course, you always managed to counter his every word.
"[name]."
"Hm?"
"Why are you taking care of me?"
"'Cause I feel like it."
".... That doesn't answer my question."
"Well... I'm just worried. But now that I see you doing a bit better, I feel much better myself."
Silence filled the air once again, and you got up to get a new change of water for Hibari as they grew warmer again. But before you could walk out, an arm grabbed yours and you had a look of surprise crossing over your face.
"Where do you think you're going, herbivore?"
"W-where else? I'm just getting water..."
"Ho~ I was getting quite sick of my prey moving around too much."
You raised an eyebrow in a question-like way, inquiring on what Hibari's words meant. A smirk slipt through Hibar's lips without you noticing the intent crossing his mind.
The same arm that held onto you, pulled you over and on top of the prefect, leaving you in confusion. In a flash, warm lips met yours as you struggled to get off. Immediately, you stopped struggling and touched your lips with a beet face.
Smirking again, Hibari whispered in your ear the words you never thought you'd hear.
"I'm in your hands then, my prey..."
Frankly, you felt happy and all that Hibari had taken a liking to you and you quite enjoyed it, but you just had another weird thought in your mind:
What part of Hibari could've made you feel happy for him...?
