Beyond Magic

We have been planning this for quite some time already. Admittedly, thinking about everything, I cannot believe the beautiful things that happened to me, to us.

It has been two years since we graduated and after that we began trudging forward to the paths that we've chosen for ourselves. Olivia has become a very dutiful partner and a leader of the assembly. At the beginning, it was difficult for us to get the assembly back but with the efforts and help of everyone around us, we managed to slowly regain our position, and Olivia taking her position as the head of the Assembly. Seeing her so happy with how her hard works turned out is a solace in my eyes. As for me, I dedicated myself to improving the academy as one of its headmasters. With the continual support of Marco and the trusted followers of the McCrain which has become my family for many years, I was able to continuously uphold my responsibilities.

"It's almost time now, are you ready?", asked Olivia as she entered our room

She was wearing a white a-line dress with her wavy hair placed on her right shoulder

I was taken aback when she walked towards me and sat on my lap. She stared in my eyes so passionately it made me feel an unexplainable heat in my skin.

I put my gaze straight in her gleaming eyes.

"I've just been away for two days, and you already miss me so much?", I said while smirking without my gaze removing from her eyes

Her cheeks turned scarlet red, she abruptly ceased her gaze on me.

"Who said I missed you, we always see each other in the house. Sawa na nga ako sayo", Olivia retorted, putting her delicate hands on my nape then slowly fixing my collar.

So close we were, I was tempted

"You look beautiful as always", I whispered to her ear before I gave her a peck of kiss in her red lips

Shyly, she stood straight, reaching her purse while her back turned against me, "Let's go, they are waiting for us".

Before she walked pass the doorway, I reached her warm hands and clasped it tightly with my fingers.

"Let's go", I said enthusiastically with my smile I cannot help myself to paint

"She looks cute when she's being teased"

While holding our hands we walked on the sandy path towards the venue of the event.

We chose a beach themed party in Olivia's mom, our moms' home, Hailing Cove.

As we draw nearer, I can clearly see the cozy light emanating pass the transparent walls of the venue.

Figures I can see from afar which become more familiar as we tread closer.

"They seem to be having fun", said Olivia while holding my arms, her head gently rested on my shoulders

I pushed the door open and the busy voices for a moment became silent.

"The couple is here", said Alice, Olivia's friend.

Aside from Olivia, her friend Alice is also working for the Assembly. Olivia had once told me that her, and Liam are somewhat dating. Liam is also working alongside Olivia, he is the second in command. With their situation, it is easy to see how they could possibly develop something. Good for Liam, I guess.

"So how's the baby?", voiced by Claudia while caressing Olivia's baby bump

Olivia chatted with Claudia then soon afterwards Alice joined them.

On the other hand, Marco, who has become Claudia's partner, went beside me. They have been together for some time now. An alcoholic lady and a bartender. They are a perfect pair.

"So kid, do you have a name for your child? '', curiously inquired Marco, giving me a glass of wine.

"We already have something in mind. Whether it's a girl or a boy, we already have one", I replied

We talked for a while. From the assembly, the academy, and our future plans.

"You've come along way Yvo"

"Part of it is because of you... thank you.", I tried to say nonchalantly to Marco.

Marco just laughed it off in return, patting my back as he left.

I checked my watch, it's almost time.

Everyone went outside. We went towards the campfire by the beach which we prepared ahead of time.

With Olivia, I faced our friends and family who we have invited to this important event.

In my peripheral vision, I can see the excitement that imbues Olivia's spirit as we are to announce the gender of our child.

The ecstatic emotion I am feeling I cannot contain. Only Olivia knows the gender of our child. She wanted me to feel thrilled and she never revealed a single thing about it, even a minute hint. Regardless, whether it's a boy or girl, I would carry our baby with my all. I will try to be the best father that I could be.

"5, 4, 3, 2", they chanted

And 1...

As the sun sets on the horizon, candies of fireworks illuminated the sky... It was painted blue.

I looked at Olivia and she was genuinely smiling gazing at the sky

With the blue lights gleaming in my eyes, I cannot contain the happiness anymore.

I reached Olivia who was enjoying the scene unfolding, sparking light in the darkness above

I hugged her tight. I put my hands in her face. I kissed her forehead, her cheeks, and her lips. At first she was kinda surprised but she reciprocated my gesture of love. Gently putting her hands on my nape, kissing me passionately.

"Hail for the new heir of McCrain", everyone joyously shouted

A new chapter in our life opened.
