(Mondo's POV)
After leaving the room, I walked over to my bike. I felt super bad. Like, who the fuck in their right minds would beat up such a nice guy like Taka? I should tell someone. He told me not to tell his dad or the school, but he didn't mention my friends. I sat on my bike and leaned forward, facetiming Leon.
He picked up, he was sitting on his couch. "Yo dude! What's up? Why do you look so upset?"
"its- It's about Taka.."
"Who's Taka?" I heard a girl out of frame say, confused.
Leon looked over and replied, "Kiyotaka."
The girl gasped and snatched the phone from his hands. It was Hina. "How do you know what happened to him? And why did you give him such a cute nickname? Are you in front of the hospital? Is he alright?"
"I uh.. I just visited him in the hospital. He told us to call him Taka, and I was about to tell Leon about his condition currently. Is Chihiro there?"
"They're in the bathroom, what's going on?"
I sighed, fuck it. "2 days ago I think I found Taka really fucked up and shit.. so i told the headmaster and he got sent to the hospital. Then us 3 visited him, and I just went again today to bring him his homework."
Leon butted in, "And to give him a cute sweater he bought for himmmm."
Hina smiled, "You bought him a sweater? Oh my gosh that's so adorable.."
"Dude. Leon. Just shut up."
I hear Chihiro walk in as Hina tells them that I'm on call. Chihiro sits beside hina and they all lean into the frame to hear what I have to say.
I take a deep breath, "Taka was beaten up pretty badly.. by a group of kids at our school. They kicked and punched him, broke his arm, twice. And even cut him up with a blade. " I scan their faces, but it was just a blank stare from all of them. Chihiro looked terrified, Hina looked pissed, and Leon just looked confused. Like he didn't believe it.
To be honest, I couldn't even believe it.
(Hina's POV)
After a few moments of silence, Mondo hung up. Chihiro began to cry a bit. My eyes started to tear up as well, but I held it back. Leon got up and sat on the other side of Chihiro, he began to comfort them as they cried into his shoulder.
"I.. I'm gonna go," I get up and grab my bag and phone. I set down Leon's phone and waved goodbye. He waves, but he seems preoccupied with Chihiro. When I leave I sit in my car and begin to cry. How could someone be so rude and selfish? Did they even think about what anyone else felt?
I call Sakura.
She picks up immediately, "Yes Hina?" I broke down in tears and told her everything I knew. She told me to go to her dorm because she had to tell me something.
(At Sakura's dorm)
I sat on her couch and she patted me on the shoulder, "I can try and fix this."
"W-What? How?"
"I think I know who did this. I have seen a few kids make fun of Kiyotaka, and or hurt him in various ways."
"What!? Who!?"
As Sakura told me about 4-5 names, I got more and more angry, "We NEED to confront them!"
