The rain was heavy, it hammered down on the pavement all around you. Wincing, you shakily moved your hand away from your abdomen, the blood from the gash across your body seeping through your suit, being washed to the ground with the rain. Your body is crumpled in an alley, you landed here for a moment to catch your breath before he finds you again. Breathing heavily, your ears noticed the distant sound of mechanical arms, moving quickly toward your location. Your stomach drops as you can see his silhouette, darkened from the light of the streetlamps behind him.
Dr. Oliver Octavius. A powerful scientist who specializes in genetic experimentation. He's a monstrous man, who believes in improving the human race via mechanical and genetic modification. You've stopped a few of his operations before, but every time you two encounter one another he only gets stronger. At this point, he knows all your tricks, all your banter, everything.
Now, here he is, quickly approaching you in this alley. His tentacles are digging into the walls of the surrounding buildings, making horrible clanging sounds that ring in your ears as the bricks are dislodged, falling to the ground. Still clutching your bleeding torso, you stand to face him.

"C'mon spider-brat, is that the best you can do?" He mocked, grinning at you. His shit-eating grin disgusts you and lights a fire in your blood that cannot be extinguished until he's gone. You hate him, and he hates you. He is most certainly your nemesis.

"That's not my name, asshole." You snap back at him. He still sees you as a child, but you're not. You create a web and quickly use it to pack your wound. Shooting a web up the side of the building, you swing up and out of his reach. You hurry up the side of the skyscraper, and you can hear him close behind you. As you reach the top, you flip into the air and land on the roof. You're thousands of feet in the air, and Doc Ock is close behind you. In the blink of an eye, one of his tentacles shoots out toward you, attempting to grab you. You gasp and dodge the incoming appendage, webbing it to the roof. Despite the fact that you're injured, you manage to dodge all the attacks he throws at you.

"You're making this a lot more difficult than it needs to be, girl. My work is for the good of the people!" He roars, swinging another arm at you. This time, you manage to kick it, breaking the claw clean off the end. He stumbles backward, eyes lit up with rage as he sees the damage you've done. "You little shit!"

"Oh please! Your work is anything but good, you experiment on innocent people, what about all the people who never survived? You're a monster!" You shout, sliding under one of his arms, launching yourself up to kick him in the face. You jump up and land a few feet away. You can see he's weaker now, you're finally starting to have the upper hand. "Come on Gianna, you just have to rip out the neural implant". You think to yourself. It seems so simple, but to dodge his three remaining arms and get close enough to do so is a daunting task. Before you can even register it, one of his arms is coming at you. You didn't have any time to react. The claws wrapped around your body, pinning you to the roof.

"A monster? Well I guess that makes two of us then." His face is close to yours, blood is coming from his nose, he doesn't bother to wipe it. You can't muster any words. "Oh come on, don't look so confused girl. I've seen that face of yours many times. Those fangs, those extra eyes, sounds pretty monstrous if you ask me. Oh and we can't forget those beautiful chelicerae now can we?" He reaches out to pull down your mask. He's greeted by two human eyes, and six other beady black spider eyes. Normally all the spider-like elements of your face are concealed, but you instinctively reveal them whenever your mask is removed, to help conceal your identity. One of the mechanical arms grabs the sides of your jaw roughly, forcing you to face him. "Open." He demands. You keep your mouth clamped shut, but he prys it open anyway. As your mouth opens, your brown chelicerae protrude from the sides of your mouth. In addition, you have large fangs for your top and bottom canines. You look.... like a monster. "There we go, a perfect specimen." He says as he admires your spider-like features.

"I'm not a monster." You manage to whisper, your chest being compressed so much even a whisper is difficult.

"Oh really? Have you seen yourself? Sure, you may be a "hero," you may save the people, but they will always fear you. They will always fear that face. No matter how hard you try they will never look past it. They will always see you as a monster." He laughs, he can see he's starting to get to you. Tears are welling up in your eyes. You can't let what he's saying get to you. It's not your fault you look like this. His words are further fueling your rage. You muster all your strength to wiggle out if his grip, and web his tentacles to the roof. Now's your chance, you only have a few seconds until he breaks free. You launch yourself towards his back, latching on. The implant is right there, you reach for it, but his words echo in your mind. Years of hurt and anger are bubbling up inside you. Taking the implant isn't enough for him. You want him gone. He's struggling against the webs, you don't have much time now. You open your mouth wide, about to sink your fangs into his neck and pump your venom into his bloodstream. You're ready to kill him.
Suddenly, you can feel yourself being pulled away, you look around you and see some form of glitching portal pulling you in.

"What the fuck?" You look at it in astonishment. Doc Ock has broken free and turned around, ready to fight. The sight of the portal stops him in his tracks.

"Fascinating." He trails off, taking off his glasses. He stares as the portal starts to pull you in harder. You can feel every single one of your cells burning. Now you start to panic.

"Hey hey hey wait. What's happening? Oh god!" You struggle to pull yourself out of the portal to no avail. Your vision of your world is slowly fading. The last thing you see is Doc staring at you in pure fascination as you're pulled out of your world.
