Destiny's Pov.

I woke up to the sound of my mom telling me hurry up and get dressed.

Today is the day i am leaving New jersey for good. My mom has gotten a job in los angeles and im proud of her. I love new jersey and all of my friends here but i just think its too soon to leave all this behind :/ i'm gonna miss my friends & all the memories we left in new jersey. I started gathering the little stuff i had left in my closet then soon my mom called me to leave.

My mom and i have it tough living together but i must admit shes very strong and independent. My dad has left us when i was 6 years old and idk exactly why. I always use to think it was because of me.but idk. I try talking to my mom about it but she always changes the subject. As for me? Well i'm a 17 year old girl who has a hard time fitting in this world, i once had a boyfriend but im not even gonna get into that, lets just say .. It was a broken promise . But anyways other then that i do only have one friend. Her name is taliah & me leaving her hurts me so much.

As i walk down the stairs and outside i see my mom in the car already so i got in the car and strapped my seatbelt.

Mom: you ready?

I turned to her teary eyed and shook my head yes. She could tell i was upset but didnt say anything. As we pulled out the driveway to go to the airport all i could think about was how L.A was gonna be like. What if i dont fit in? What if i dont like it? I sighed and put my headphones in while i look out the window. Next thing i get a incoming call from : Taliah

Me: hello?

Taliah: hey best, i just wanna let u know im gonna miss you, please dont forget about me.

-I could tell she was about to cry so i told her that i'll call her back. I hate seeing my bestfriend upset. I will never forget her, its just hard for me to leave her when she needs me the most.

We finally got on the plane & i instantly looked out the window.

Goodbye new jersey. ✈ hello California .. :(
