Kacy's POV:
Today was the that would change my life. We were moving to NC. The house (that was now sold) looked completely empty. I knew that I was going to miss this house. My entire childhood was within the house and it's as if I was leaving it behind. I was excited to have a fresh start and hopefully meet some new friends. Apparently, we bore going to be living next to one of mom's old school friend that he hadn't seen in forever. I was in my room gathering a few thing that were left. Everything as gone. Pictures, clothes, bed sheets, gone. It looked so empty, sad, in a way. I sat I'm my bed and looked around the room. I was lost in thoughts.
Darcy's POV:
I was so glad to see Anna again. She had a spare key to our new house and was starting to place our possessions in the house. I looked at the time. 6:00pm.
"Kacy! Come on! We're going to miss our flight!" I shouted. I knew that she was taking one last look at her room before we left. She came downstairs with a small smile on her face.
"I'm ready, let's go." She said. We left the house, locked the door, got in the taxi and drove off. Kacy was looking back at the house.
"I'm gonna miss that house." She said, turning back around.
"We all are. It's a shame to leave really." Said Harold. The thing I was going to miss was the car. We had sold it and could buy a new one with the money but It won't be the same. I wasn't going to tell them that though.
"Yeah, it sad to leave the house behind." I said. We didn't talk much during the ride to the airport. Before we knew it, we were ready to get on the plane.
*On the plane*
(Still Darcy's POV)
We all sit next to each other. Kacy sat near the window.
"Are you exited?" I asked
"Yeah, a bit nervous though, only cause I'm starting school on Monday. There's no time to settle in. I'm also nervous about what people will think of me." She said. I knew that she would be nervous. We managed to find a school that was willing to have her, even though they haven't met her in person. Soon, we all fell asleep.
Kacy's POV:
I woke up to the flight attendant saying that we had landed. I looked at the time.8:00am. We were on the plane all night. We got of the plane and started to collect our luggage. Mom had called a taxi to take us to our new house. It was there in about 5 minutes. It was a short drive and as we pulled up, we saw Anna (mom's friend) waving to us.
"Hi guys! Oh my gosh Darcy! Look at you! You look amazing!" She said as we got out of the taxi.
"I've missed you so much Anna. Oh, yh is my husband, Harold, and this is my daughter, Kacy." Said mom. Anna said hi to everyone and showed us our house. She gave us the keys and let us get settled in. I got to choose my bedroom first, and of course, chose the biggest bedroom there was. We even had two guest bedrooms. I put my clothes in my closet and put sheets on the bed. The house was amazing. I spent some time with my parents before deciding to explore Buies Creek.
"Mom! Dad! I'm going out to explore! Be back soon!" I shouted. I heard dad shout 'be careful'. My house was in the centre of Buies Creek, so I knew that I would find it easily, but I didn't know where to go. I decided to go to a local store and get a can of cola. It was just like the local stores in Arizona. I left the shop and started to walk. I wasn't paying attention to anything, and I accidentally bumped in to someone. Two people actually, but the one I bumped into was quite tall and had darkish hair. He looked around my age. The other one was taller and had blondish- brown hair. He looked the same age as me too.
" Sorry I wasn't -"
"Hey, are you that girl that was caught singing?" The dark haired boy interrupted
"Erm, yeah." I said, slightly embarrassed.
"Your great. I never knew that someone could sing that good." He said the other boy just stood there listening to our convocation.
" Erm, thanks. Your the first to compliment me. Everyone hated me."I said.
"I can't see why. By the way, are you new here? We haven't seen you around before."
"Actually, I arrived this morning." I said.
"Cool, my name is Link." He said
" And I'm Rhett." He added. I may have just found some new friends.
"I'm Kacy." I said.
" Well, we gotta get going. Maybe we'll see ya around. Bye." Said Link. They walked off in the other direction so I decided to go home. I wasn't even gone gone for an hour.
I made it home, told my parents about Rhett and Link, and enjoyed the rest of my weekend.
