Too close

Lex sat opposite Dana during their drama workshops, so he had plenty of time to observe his partner. Dana was absolute a  magnificent being.  He had a small face with big beautiful eyes, dimples, and attractive pink lips. He was shorter than Lex, but his body... it was something out of this world, slim, well shaped, sexy, each his moves attracted attention. You could tell from afar that this person was born to be special. Lex felt depressed. It was like standing next to a shining prince when you wore rugs. Or when you are the horse...

Moreover, Dana had a great personality, no bad rumors, and everyone loved working with him.

As Stu said, it was indeed a huge bonus.

A BL couple with good chemistry could attract fans, secure more work for actors, and move their careers forward. Successful BL couples might have multiple projects together, which would mean more money and stability.

It would be a dream come true. Lex wanted to help his big family financially. Currently, it was impossible as he barely survived.

Some BL couples become so famous that fans created fandom for them. The agency would arrange fan meetings in different cities and even countries. Lex knew about it, but with his stiff personality, it was difficult to imagine how he going to act all cute around Dana by hugging or touching him on screen or in public. It was an absolute blessing that his role did not require him to be all lovey-dovey. It was above his current acting ability.

Of course, his agency knew about his limitations, so Dana got the flirting role. Dana's character would be the first to fall and love and win Lex's character over by persistently pursuing him everywhere.

Dana was glancing at Lex as well. They never worked together before and only met a few times during their agency meetings, where they stayed with people they knew and barely interacted.

Lex wanted this project to succeed. However, the most important thing was the relationship. It would need to be extremely good, or it would be intolerable to spend so much time with each other day and night. Lex closed his eyes again, trying to calm down. His temper was going out of control because of the stress. He was more of an introvert. It was never easy for him to make friends or get a lover. Lex was not an easygoing person, and he was afraid that Dana's opposite personality might conflict with his.

- Hi. We met before a few times.

Dana approached Lex first and touched his hand. He moved closer, and Lex became instantly uncomfortable. He liked when people respected his personal space. Dana was not like this.

- You are too close. - Abruptly said Lex, instantly regretting his slip of tongue.

Dana looked surprised, but he stepped away from Lex and smiled. It was funny as they would play lovers in 16 episodes of this drama.

- Sorry, - said Lex petrified. He panicked, but Dana just waved his hand and smiled again.

- That's ok. We are still just strangers.

Yes, it was correct. Two strangers...who would be pretending to be in love...in 16 episodes of the drama...two strangers who would need to spend at least six months filming it together...two strangers who would need to touch, hug and kiss each other as lovers...who would need to get along with each other...two fucking strangers... Lex's stress level skyrocketed.

Lex attended acting classes and had a small role before, but he was not impressed with how it turned out. Lex felt the pressure.

Dana was oblivious to these worries, an actor prodigy with an established acting career

-You need to start getting used to each other,- Lex just noticed that director Tommy was standing behind him, - start with something simple like having lunch together, going for a walk, or shopping. You would need to become comfortable around each other or touching and kissing would look forced, - Tommy smiled at two young actors

- No worries. You look good together. I like it. Take it slowly, we have plenty of time.

- Touching and kissing...- Lex froze at these words, - omg it would be impossible. He could not imagine hugging or kissing Dana.

-Do you want to eat? Let's go, - Dana started walking towards the door, without waiting for Lex's reply.

Of course, Tommy was right, you need to start with small steps.

As they continuously spend time together they started to become more comfortable around each other. Lex liked Dana's personality, he was an adorable person, cute and playful but was very clear in his likes and dislikes. 

 Dana rarely lost his temper compared to Lex who had this tendency to explode when he is unhappy. He was an attractive, and talented actor. Dana was also a very generous person, he would always be happy to help, first to congratulate on your success or provide encouragement. On top of it, Dana was an extremely hardworking person same as Lex. At the same time, Dana was different from Lex. Dana's early established acting career made him too much of a free spirit, he rarely thought about future planning and retirement compared to Lex. He used to have stability in his life from a young age and he lived fully, enjoying every day. Dana rarely had bad moments  or needs to vent, he was like a beautiful butterfly partying till morning, going out with friends. He would live in the moment, not thinking about tomorrow or what if. It was something that Lex was missing in his life, something that he never had due to continuous worries about his future. It was eyes opening for him, a different perspective on happiness. Lex become aware that his worries about the future made him unnecessarily miserable too often.

Dana's coaching improved Lex's acting tremendously. Dana would also take Lex to different promotions and meetings.

They found a lot of common interests and at the same time, their difference highlighted their needs in each other.

However, Dana was an affectionate and playful person who loved to express his feelings by hugging, kissing, and touching people that he likes. It was Danas' way of getting comfortable around this person. However, Lex was awkward in terms of skin ship. Lex's stiffness made Dana unhappy. Lex knew that. It also affected filming as their physical interactions there looked forced and unnatural as Lex feared.
