Remember this feeling. This is the moment you stop being the rabbit.
Nora Sakavic

You are fifteen and you are pretty sure your life is now over. You are expecting a child, without a boyfriend or husband, but the worst of it all is the fact that you're still a child, too. Your parents call him a bastard child and refuse to have anything to do with you or him. There is nothing like the sting of your parents' rejection, but you endure. You have to. Not just for you, anymore, but for him, too, now.

You are almost seventeen and your son is barely even two when you decide to go back to high school— the same high school that laughed and insulted you for being dumb enough to get pregnant at fifteen. Your older brother is back in town, letting you and your son stay with him after your parents kicked you out. Your son goes to the local daycare in Wiskayok, where your brother works, so you know he is safe, as much as you despise being away from him.
