today was the first time ever i was meeting Niall's parents, and ive been told his mum is SUPER critical, so its not something im looking forward to.
"Babe! can you come here, i need help cleaning the living room!" my boyfriend, Niall, yelled from the bottom of the steps. I walk into the living room of the house we shared grabbing the cleaning supplies. "Y/N i know your nervous, ive known you long enough to know when your nervous or not. trust me, theres nothing to worry about." Niall said grabbing the 'Clorox cleaning wipes' from the basket. His Irish accent always calmed me down, but not this time, something inside of me knew something would go wrong. "just dont worry, ill be here for you through all of it, not a thing should be bothering you." Niall assured once more. I just nodded. I was standing in the kitchen now, wiping the counters off. I feel Niall's strong arms wrap around my waist while im cleaning, his head on my shoulder. "i know people tell you my mum is critical and all, but trust me, she'l love you just as much as i do." Niall said kissing my cheek. something made me beleive him. "Im gonna run up and take a shower, can you handle making food or do you need to wait til im done?" i smirk at my own joke as i walk upstairs.
100 things were rushing in my mind as i showered, 'would Maura like me?' would she think im stealing her little boy away from her?' ahh, just too many thoughts. I wrapped a towel around my hair outting on a pink polka dotted shirt with some purple here and there in it. and some white jeans. I decide to curl my hair, the way Niall likes it. and put concealer & some mascara on and head downstairs. I see Niall at the kitchen counter cutting up peppers & onions for his favorite meal, beef stew. "someone looks a little too beautiful." Niall said looking up just enough to see me. "i love it, y/n, looks stunning." I blush. After i finish slicing everything up and putting it into the pot, theres a knoc on the door. My face turns more pale than a ghost. "dont worry, babe everything will be fine." Niall said kissing me before he heads to the door to find his mum & dad. "Mum! Dad!" Niall shouts as he pulls them into a group hug. "Mom, Dad, this is y/n, y/n meet Maura & Bobby." I look up and smile "hi, pleasure to meet you" i say inching towards her to give her a hug. She accepts, as does his dad. "well you guys can take a seat, were just gonna finish up dinner." Niall said leading his parents into the living room. He walks back into the kitchen grabbing my hand, "so far so good, huh?" Niall winks. "Niall, shes been here for 5 minutes and all she said was hi." I tried keeping my tone to a whisper. "lets go eat, everything will be fine after that."
After we ate dinner, Niall, his parents and I just made small talk. Getting to know me. Niall tried to grab my hand, but his mum stopped him. "so, y/n, what did you think when Niall asked you to be his girlfriend." Bobby asked me, "cause he;s not really the kind f guy to talk to girls." Nialls face instantly became red. "well, i guess a bunch of thoughts were rushing through my head, it was like a horror movie, you had no idea what was happening next, you know? i was just so stunned he could pick any girl in the world and he chose me, best feeling ever." I said leaning over on Niall's shoulder. "thats so sweet, well now i see why Niall picked you, you have all the right things." Maura spoke up, finally. I meant alot coming from her. She actually liked me. mission accomplished. "well, we better get going, Maura, its a long drive home." Bobby said getting his coat on. "ok, see you 2 lovebirds later!" "bye, mum! bye dad! love you!" Niall shouted from the doorway. He comes back over and straddles me on the couch. "that wasnt so bad was it?" Niall winked at me. "surprisingly, no,i like them." i responded. "good, cause your a keeper." Niall said kissing my forehead as i start to dose off.
