MARCH 24TH 2004
Rhory James Bennet was an addict.
The brunette boy with wavy hair and tired droopy brown eyes that were surrounded by dark circles, sat on a beat up old couch that was found at a thrift store in 2002, next to his best friend Macy graham. Macy and Rhory had met when they were thirteen, Rhorys mother had just left and he needed something to suffice the pains of his father's steel toe boot. Macy had the answer. Which lead too exactly where they are now, on that beat up old couch, smoking pot and inhaling other substances.
Rhory sat staring ahead at a piece of artwork on Macy's wall, he couldn't quite tell what it was but it pleased his brain. Macy looked over at her friend, brushing her frizzy pink hair away from her eyes. "You good rho rho?" shed asked, she asked him that a lot. Rhory turned to look at the girl, grinning at her as he stood up and leaned down to give her a deep kiss on the cheek "never better darling"
Macy watched as Rhory walked out her front door in nothing but a knitted sweater and jeans, a joint hanging from his lips.
The cold air of Forks, Washington gave Rhory goosebumps and turned his lips purple, but he paid no mind to it as he made his way through a small dirt trail behind Macys house, his joint long gone. Along the trail was a river, one that Rhory visited often. It reminded him of his mother.
His smile turned into a frown as Rhory began to feel dizzy, his eyesight going hazy as he wandered. Rhory stumbled through the wet grass, the ends of his jeans getting damp. rhory tripped over a tree stump, falling forward and crashing on the ground with a thump.
There was a boy. A boy with beautiful blonde hair, Rhory saw him often. He was someone Rhory looked forward to seeing. His face was blurry, but Rhory wasn't dizzy anymore? He didn't know. He was tired, but it already felt like he was sleeping.
When rhory woke up he couldn't hear the ruckus of the stream or feel the wet grass seeping into his sweater, and when he opened his eyes he wasn't met with the river of his mother or a boy with the most beautiful blonde hair, but was instead met with the beeping of a heart monitor and a bright white room.
He'd overdosed again. He didn't mean to this time.
"you're awake" a voice spoke from beside him, rhory looked over and smiled, though is eyes were hazy he knew who was there. "Carlisle" Carlisle was one of Rhorys favorite people, someone who's saved his life more times than the two of them would like to count. Carlisle looked towards the door with a worried look, making rhory furrow his brows and turn to look. His father was there, James Bennet was in his hospital room for the first time ever. Rhorys smile dropped as his eyes snapped back to Carlisle, he held a guilty look on his face.
oh.
"oh" rhory spoke "this isn't like all the other times huh?" Carlisle shook his head "unfortunately not" Rhory looked towards his father, but he wasn't there anymore.
The bennet boy sighed before looking towards the ceiling, he didn't want this to happen, it wasn't supposed to happen. He just wanted to see the blonde boy in his dreams again.
