Once, a long time ago there was a kingdom of Phlygur where there was a young and handsome but cruel and mean king called Eald. When he walked in one of the nearby villages, he saw a poor girl who was giving food to chickens. He immediately fell in love with her. He dismounted his horse and ran to her. He introduced himself as the king of Phylgur and told her to go live with him in his kingdom and become his wife. But she did not want to because she was in love with a man called Fjör. When she said no to him, he ordered his soldiers to take her to the castle even against her will. They locked her in a room for servants. In the evening, the king brought her to his table to eat dinner with her. She did not say a word for the whole time, she did not eat either. After a while he asked for her name, but she did not say a thing, she just looked away. He looked at the guards and one of them pulled her by her hair and whispered in her ear to answer the king. "Fyrin... my name is Fyrin" she said quietly. "So Fyrin, follow me now. I want to talk to you alone" She gave him an angry look but stood up and obediently followed. They went to the king's room. And he told her to marry him. "Never!" She yelled and spat in his face. "We'll see about that" growled Eald furiously. "I am your king so you will do anything I tell you to." "You try in vain my king, I will never be yours. I will tell you something, I have the gift of magic and for as long as I am alive, I will try to run away" she stood up wanting to leave but he caught her by the wrist and pulled her back. She fell on his bed, and he held her down. "I'm a god I can do whatever I want to and when I say u will be mine it means you will!" "I will not be yours for not even one hour. When you will not look, I will turn into a squirrel and jump from a tree to a tree far away from you" "I have axes and soldiers you will never escape". "I will turn into a fish and flow down in the stream Göerell" "I have fishing rods and soldiers I will get you even if it will take a hundred years, you will never escape ". "I will turn into a crow and fly, far away from this land" "I have an old crossbow that never misses its target, you will never escape ". "I will turn into a star in the sky and shine into the dark" "I have many stargazers who can count the stars in the sky, you will never escape ". Fyrin sighed softly and said, "If I must marry you at least let me say my goodbyes to my family " "You finally came to your senses, so just listen to what I want you to do." The following day they went to Fyrin's house so that she could say her goodbye. The king stood outside the front door with the soldiers and guarded it so she could not run away. She did say her goodbyes, but she went to the back door and ran quickly to the nearby river of Vareun and jumped in with a smile on her face and tears in her eyes. That day she drowned but even in her last moments she was happy.
