An hour later, Nanon meet Pear in the common rooms of their suite.
"So what kind of 'soiree' is this party?"
"No, sorry....I can't focus until we deal with the elephant in the room. Is that what you're planning to wear?"
"This feels like a trick question.." pear grins and pull Nanon back into his room.
"I'm just saying this is your chance to let everyone get to know the real you."
"But I thought we are here to make alliances, promote the interests of our country.
"Which will be easier if everyone wants to talk to you. And if you wear this, they won't be able to help themselves."
"Well, it can't hurt to try it on..." So Nanon choose to wear A peak-lapel jacket with one or two buttons with dark suits.
"Do I look pretty good in this?"
"I'd say 'I told you so' But it's on becoming of Princess. Now, come on."

Nanon, Pear, Murphy and Tatum arrive at the party to find it already in full swing. Pear start to head for the center of the room, but Nanon stop her before she can slip away.
"Where are you going?"
"I've got my own meet-and-greeting to do, but I'll be right back. Relax and have fun! That's an order from your princess."
"You do know I'm not your subject, right?"  Pear just grins as she  and Murphy disappear into the crowd. Nanon glance over to Tatum, who look noticeably antsy.
"You ditching me too?"
"I need to check the perimeter." Nanon sigh as Tatum Joins bodyguard posted around the room. Nanon make his way through the party to the bar, where Ohm is playing bartender.
"Hey Kirdpan. Does your mother know your outpass curfew? And dressed like you're going to make it count, I might add."
"Does your mother know you are a liar who pretend to be someone you're not?"
"She know I pretend not to be someone I am. Now, what can I get you?" Ohm sweeps his arm out, and Nanon look over his options. "Suprise me."
"In that case.... You look like you could use a paddock's cup. It's a summer classic in Ardona."
"If you say so." To suprise, Ohm quickly mix up the gin, elderflower, ginger beer, and mint. He even even adds some garnish before presenting it to Nanon . He take a sip.... and shrug. "I've had better."
"You're terrible liar."
"Unlike you. Why didn't you tell me you were from Ardona? Especially considering we, you know..." Nanon feel his cheeks hit ad he remember his encounter on the roof.
"Kissed? If I remember correctly, you initiated that, not me."
"All the more reason you should've told me."
"You already have to ask why? Look at how you're reacting. Can you blame me for wanting to avoid the look you're giving me right now?"
"But---"
"And honestly, I don't buy into this Ardona-Thailand bullshit. I'm surprised that you do."
"Hold on I never say that I do."
"Then why are you making such a big deal out of this?"
"I'm not mad your from Ardona. I'm mad you lied about it! You knew what kind of scandal our being seen together could cause back home. I deserve to know too."
"There'd your problem right there. You give a damn about what your people think."
"Am I interrupting something?" Pear look back and forth between Nanon and Ohm. "No, I'm done here."
"Oooookay. Then come on, there are some people I'd like to you to meet."
Nanon grab his drink and allow Pear to drag him across the room, feeling Ohm's gaze on his back the entire way.
"Nanon, meet Gun and Off. I think you have a couple classes together...."
"Yeah, I recognized from the Etiquette. Nice to officially meet you two."
Gun; I'm always pleased to meet off Hello classmate with some style, your outfit is so chic.
Nanon: thanks.
Off: I was gonna  compliment it too, but if Gun here likes it...
Gun: seriously, Gun? And I'm the wet blanket?
Nanon: I think I might've missed something....
Off: I was telling gun about a prank I pulled your last year. Stole the dean's car piece by piece and put it back together on the roof of her office, diplomatic flogs and all.
Pear: seriously? How did I miss that?
Off: you were at a state dinner or something. But anyway, it was hilarious.
Gun: I don't see what's so funny! They almost kicked you out of school! You have to be more careful, Off. You're reputation is starting to precede you in more ways than one.
Nanon: it sounds like Gun's caution strategy should be given a chance.
Gun: my.... strategy?
Nanon: yeah, I bet the dean immediately knew Off was the one who pulled the prank, because of his rep. Even if Gun had pulled it off...
Off: Damn. No one would've seen that coming.
Gun: Not even me!
Off: That make me wonder... Maybe I should lay low for a while. Then when I strike again they won't know who to pin it on.
Gun: good plan--wait, what do you mean 'Strike again'?
Just then, someone bumps into Pear from behind."oof."
" Oh crap! Sorry, Pear. I was distracted..." The guy sheepishly holds up a book he was reading, 'The decline and fall of the  Merain and Empire.
"Only you would read in the middle of a party. Nanon, meet Peter Wallace. He's the youngest prince of a small monarchy off the coast."
"How many royals are there at Vancross?"
"Five total, but I think Pear and I are the only ones in our year."
"We get it."
"Peter it must be tough being the youngest prince?"
"No, I think I guess." Peter is a about to say more, but he's cut off by a loud knock coming from the front door! Nanon and Pear follow the crowd to where the hosts are bickering in the foyer....some classmate.
"I thought you said you had an this handled!"
"We don't even know what 'this' is yet!"
Ohm brushes past Nanon to get between the two guys.
"Alex and Henry, calm down. There's no need to get work up before --" ohm was cut off as the knock sounds again.
A voice come"I can hear you all talking. Can you just open the door so we can do this face-to-face?" Alex throws open the door to reveal Ayna.
"Ayna? I thought you weren't coming tonight."
"I wasn't planning to, but then campus staff needed someone to investigate a noise complaint..."
"Seriously? Who snitched?" As Alex looks around the room, Nanon start to step forward. Ohm puts a hand on his arm to stop him, dropping his voice low. "You sure you wanna get in the middle of this? The safe move is staying out of the way and letting others get in trouble."
"Maybe if you actually knew anything about me, you'd know that's not what's most important right now." Nanon brush off his hand and turn to face the others.
"Ayna, we'll turn down the music right away?"
"The hell we will--"
"Dude, I'm saving your ass right now. Shut up." Surprisingly, that does the trick. Henry rushes to turn down the volume, then flashes Nanon a thumbs-up Nanon turn back to Ayna with a warm smile.
"Sorry you had to come out here. I will personally ensure that the music stays within acceptable limits for the rest of the evening."
"Well....I suppose I don't see the problem if you promise to keep it down."
"Thanks, Ayna." Nanon smirks at Ohm as his classmates let out a cheer. "Still think I can't handle myself?"
"You really wanna prove me wrong? There's a game of Tower pong with your name on it....if you think you're up to the challenge." Ohm gives Nanon a mock salute before making his way to the backyard.
"Ayna, since you're already here why don't you stay and hang out for a bit? I wanna hear all about your trip around the Mediterranean this summer."
"Oh. I don't know...."
"You're only a few years older than us, right? That's like older sis-status." off
"We promise it won't be weird it'll give us a chance to catch up!" Ayna looks around as her gaze fall on Nanon. He offer her an encouraging smile.
"I suppose one drink wouldn't hurt..."
Several drinks later...Alex is belting out his national anthem...and Off is trying to take over the bar. Nanon quickly grab another drink before turning to survey the rest of the party.
