She was under a lot of pressure. That's what the fact that you're a sniper's target does to a person. And that's why she agreed and accepted his offer. She was certain that he would back off when she'd show him the file. She was stupid to believe that she could play him like that, of course he would win. That should be clear to her from the very beginning. But she was bored. So bored. And so she played a stupid and deadly game with the most treacherous man on the planet. And what a dumb idea that was.

Now here she was, working for him from his loft, just another puppet he controlled. She mostly did hacking jobs - "Violet, darling, I need you to break into the security program ..." – and sometimes, she was send off to more delicate break-ins when his big gorilla like workers weren't a good idea to use. The hacking jobs were always harder as those were on expert level most of the time but she managed to be successful as she was powered by the fact that if she doesn't win, he'll have her killed. He was using her for his own good, she knew, but in the mass of threats, the evil looks and shouting, she somehow realized that he attracted her. Maybe his kind was her type, maybe it was because he held so much power and because he was so intimidating or maybe it was because he was so dangerously exciting, she wasn't sure. But that was what she looked for in him, right? The dangerous excitement? She surely got it and now, she was deeply attracted to the psychopath.

What a sick minded person she was, right?

Right. But in the end, was it really so shocking? She was just as crazy and insane as he was, it was really a matter of time. Especially since she had to live with him. That was the thing she was most confused about, though. Her quickly developing feelings weren't as baffling as the fact that he demanded that she lives with him. She understood him by now pretty well, or she would like to think she does. She know how he works and what ticks him off. But this was still confusing her. Surely she could work for him and still lived in her flat but then again, he probably didn't trust her at all. Understandable. Because he shouldn't.

She made a copy of his file, even before she brought it to his place that night. Despite her strange and completely unacceptable feelings towards him, she knew she had to beat him. Because if things stayed like this, she would get too attached and let her guard down. He would take advantage of that as soon as he got a chance and she couldn't let that happen. She just needed him to trust her, enough so that she could finally go through with her final act and bring him down. This was rather the whole point of this, wasn't it? Her trying to show him she was just as good as him but now, 'just as good' wasn't good enough anymore. She needed to be better. And what better way to bring an empire down then to destroy it from the inside out? Bring the king down first.

So she played good, did everything he asked her to do and more. But Jim wasn't stupid or naïve. He knew what was going on and what she was doing. And so, she started a new game with him without her even knowing that they were playing yet again. Because from day one he knew, he knew perfectly wellwhat was going through her mind. She thought she was as good and she thought she could beat him. She was cocky and too self-assured. And he was going to use it against her. She wasn't going to win, she wasn't allowed to win.

You can imagine the shock that was printed on her face when he, one day, came home with a box in his hand. A white one, with a black bow wrapped around it and he handed it to her, saying that he was "-going to a business party and you're coming with me. And I can't let you look bad, you'd bring my image down with you." She looked at him with wide eyes and his lips stretched into a side smirk before he walked away into his room. She couldn't wrap her mind around what was happening but she took the box into her room nonetheless, and placed it on her bed. For a split second she thought that it could be a bomb but she quickly dismissed it as he wouldn't blow up his whole place. No, if he wanted her dead, she'd be gone for a while now. She opened the box slowly, tossing the lid to the side and gasped as she pulled a black dress out of it. Plus, why would he want to kill her now, when he got what he wanted from her? She was working for him, she did what he said and that was rather his plan right? To have her?
