THE OTHER BOY | ELEVEN HOPPER

The first day

Day 1:

The bus left him outside the mall that had recently open, as he walked in he immediately noticed that this place was a lot more crowded than he imagined. "shit, how am supposed to find him in this place" he thought.

While he was walking and looking around trying to find Scoops Ahoy, he noticed two girls in the middle of the mall, a short brunette who looked like a tom boy and a taller ginger clearly more feminine

The brown haired girl also seemed to notice him, the eye contact for some reason made Alex feel really nervous. The girl broke it first and slightly hit her friend and the arm to make her look at the black haired boy. Alex noticed it and started walking away slightly a bit red.

He finally, in the second floor founded what he was looking for. He was a tall, blonde girl at front and went to talk to her.

"Hey, am Alex sorry for bothering but am looking for my brother he is supposed to work here" he said with smile to look nice when in reality he regreted even coming here in the first place. "Well, what's his name?And am Robin nice to meet you" she replied also with smile and extremely friendly. "Steve Harrington and me too" I continued.

Steve heard Alex's voice and came out from the back room while Dustin followed him. They both looked at eachother, everyone could understand the awkwardness, well I mean it was understabble they hadn't seen eachother for 3,5 years. That's a lot.

"I didn't knew you had a brother Steve" Robin said trying to break the nice. Before Steve could answer "I doubt anyone knows, Steve doesn't really talk about things he is embarrassed for" Alex replied.
"Am not embarrassed of you, it's just a sensitive subject that didn't came up" Steve said, "Aha, sure we don't care" Dustin entering the conversation

He walked up to Alex and went "Am Dustin, Steve's best friend, nice to meet you" and smiled "Alex, me too"

Steve and Robin had to get back to work since customers starting caming in, Alex and Dustin went and sitted at an empty table. They started talking about random stuff while Alex had to come up with some lies of why he doesn't live with his brother anymore.

After some hours or so, Steve's shift ended and he was to the back room to change and grab his stuff, when he went inside the girls Alex had previously seen came to get ice cream. The ginger looked back and saw him sitting with Dustin, she tooked the brunette by the hand and came to the table

"Hi, Dustin" both greeted as Alex sighed hoping they won't talk to him, he was already anxious enough after the eye contact without even knowing the reason.
"Um, who is your friend?" The brunette said "I hate my life" Alex thought. "oh! right, this is Alex Harrington, Steve's brother. He came to visit him for the summer" Dustin said "Alex this Max and Jane" he continued saying while pointing to each one of the girls when he was introducing them

"Nice to meet you" Alex said "We are too" Max said and then Jane continued "Yeah but Max we have to go home now" "Rightt, let's go, hopefully we will see you again, bye guys " she said and they left.

Alex and the whole conversation could only focus on one thing the brunette, he also noticed that she was wearing different clothes that the ones he saw her couple hours ago, she seemed way more confident in the new ones.

Steve finally got out and they both said their goodbye's and went to the car. After half an hour drive or so they arrived home, Alex took out his bag from the car and went upstairs to put his stuff in place.

"I haven't change anything from your room" Steve said while leaning at the door, Alex looked at him "Yeah, I can see it" he replied and went back to unpacking. Steve sighed "Am sorry, about the fight, I shouldn't have make it a big deal, goodnight" when he finished what he was saying he closed the door and went to his room, Alex sighed and finished what he was doing. He went to sleep hoping that they won't mention that happened tomorrow.
