One evening, while attending a work event, Evelyn found herself alone with Daniel. They were trapped in a heated debate about politics when Evelyn, out of frustration, blurted, "Why do you always have to be so infuriating? Can't you see how much you drive me crazy?"
Daniel's expression softened, and he took a step closer. "Maybe because you drive me crazy too. I can't help but find you captivating, Evie."
Evelyn was taken aback by his confession, her anger momentarily dissipating. "What do you mean?"
Daniel sighed, running a hand through his hair. "There's more to me than meets the eye. I've built this defensive wall around myself, and you're the only one who has ever managed to get under my skin."
