The charming and tight-lipped guy," Nyx", the childhood friend was standing beside her.
It was the day for him to get back to his parents. Selen and Nyx met on a summer vacation. Every year, Nyx comes to see his relatives during the summer break. Thus eventually Selen becomes an inevitable part of his life. Both of them shared the ups and downs of life, together in this serene space. Nyx and Selen combo made a huge circle of friends. Nyx was the eldest among all.
He headed the entire hangouts and day trips of the team. Tangled by roots of amor, they shared a bunch of happiness and concern.
An ecstasy of family, hidden within a casket of bliss!
After deep hours of silence, Nyx said: "I'm leaving tomorrow. Hope may come by next year".Breaking inside, putting up a smile on the face, Selen replied: "OKAY"!For a while, this biggest lie made the most tranquillizing word meaningless.
Even though Nyx spoke little, Selen could always read his heart. Though they shared a unique bond of friendship. He never cared for her in public. But she felt his eyes always wandered for her. Her heart kept choosing him the whole day and night. Oops, Reality check.
"Alas, I couldn't keep him as long as I wish. He must go".Selen consoled herself in a low voice.
All the time Nyx remained a mystery to Selen. He always surprised her beyond expectations.
During their childhood days, Selen has already portrayed an imaginary Nyx in the core of her heart. Once in a blue moon, she wished for Nyx of her dreams. Gazing at the moon and stars, Selen wept the whole night. She felt like some icy fingers gripped her arm in the dark. To an extent, Nyctophiles found a comfort zone with the calmness of twilight.
Argh...............
Her shattered dreams slowly dripped Selen into a trance.
