Juliette POV

We got to some pizza place and Malachi parked did the same thing he did at the boardwalk. He opened my door and said, "M'lady," as he put his hand out for me to grab and "helped" me out of the car. "Is this gonna be a regular thing now?" We started walking in and he said, "Only if I remember to do it." Momona pulled me aside and whispered, "You guys are cute." with a sing-song voice. I roll my eyes and whisper back, "He has a girlfriend." mimicking her. "Fine," she said as we walked inside.

I sit across from Momona and next to Malachi. "Play Game Pigeon with me please." Malachi said looking at me and I nod and sent him Word Hunt. I kept winning as he kept sending them to me. When the food got here, he had only won about 2 times. I put my head on his shoulder and said, "Next time buddy." I was eating and when I looked at Momona and she was pointing at her phone signaling that she was gonna text me.

When I look up from my phone I mouth to Momona "I'm gonna win." She then mouths back "Sure." We finished our food Mason insisted on paying. We paid, said thank you to the waitress and walked out. "So Malachi. What are you gonna do for your date tomorrow." He shrugged and said, "I don't know. I was just planning on taking her to that outside mall near the beach." We got in the car and Malachi went to drop Mason at his house first.

When we got there we waved bye to him and then I hopped in the back to sit with Momona. "Momona where are you staying?" Malachi asks and I answer saying, "Actually she's staying over. In my room of course." "Did my mom and Alyssa sign off on this?" I laugh and say, "No dumbass. We're gonna go sneak her in without telling anyone." He looked back at us and said, "Ok."

We got home and me and Momona went straight up to my room after saying hi to the adults. We laid down and we filmed a TikTok. "Do you like Mason?" She asks out of the blue. "Hold on." I say, holding up my finger and walking to Malachi's room to check if he was in there, 'Ok I'm back. I don't know if I do. Like I like his personality but..." She checks me off by saying, "But...You like Malachi." I shook my head. "I can't have him." She groans, "Bitch. His girlfriend's a bitch." "That doesn't mean I can just walk up to him and confess my feelings." "I guess." She dropped the matter and we ended up falling asleep at like 2:30 in the morning while watching, "10 things I hate about you."

Malachi POV(plus a time skip)

It was the next morning and Momona left around 9 and I left to go break up with Kathrine at about 10. I got to her house and picked her up, "Hi baby." She said kissing my cheek. "Hi Kathrine." "So where are we going?" I look over at her and see shes on her phone and I just answer, "The boardwalk."

When we got there, she started to drag me to American Eagle. She spent like 30 whole minutes there and when we got to check out, the total was like $250. I look up from my phone to see her waiting for me. "Well...aren't you gonna pay?" She asks with a smile on her face. "Uh sure." When we got outside she grabbed my hand and I asked, "Where's your wallet because I can't keep paying." She shrugs and said, "Didn't bring it. It is your job to pay for my stuff." "My job?" I asked her, confused and looked at me. "Your job as my boyfriend duh." "Oh." I nod.

After she went to a few more stores she started to get hungry. We went to the food court and we ordered food. When we got it, we went to sit down and the entire time, she was on her phone. "Um...Kathrine." She looked at me and said, "Yes baby?" "I think we should..." She cut me off and said, "Go to this new store after we're done here. Same." and she just went back on her phone. I was done at this point and said. "I'm breaking up with you. I'm sorry." She laughed and said, "No you're not." I got a little bit mad, "You can't tell me what to do. You spent $500 of my money today,' emphasizing the fact that she spent my money. 'and give me all the bags." She looked up from her phone. "Excuse me?" "Give. Me. The. Bags. I'm returning them." She shook her head and said, "I'm not doing that. You can break up with me but you are not returning all my clothes." I could see red at this point when I said, "I used my money to pay for those. So if you give me the bags or give me $500 dollars. Your choice."

She looked pissed and gave me back her bags and I went back to all the stores and got a refund, getting my money back. The entire time she was following me, begging me to just let her keep them. I just ignored her and when I was about to leave she said, "You're my ride home." I didn't even look at her when I said, "Just get an uber or something," and got in the car and drove home.

~Meanwhile~
Juliette POV

I was laying in my bed when Mason started calling me.
(Bold is Mason. Regular is Juliette)

"Hey Juliette."
"Hey Mason."
"What are you doing right now?"
"Absolutely nothing expect being bored out of my mind." I heard him laugh
"So wanna go hang out."
"Just me and you?"
"Just me and you. Like we used to while filming the Black Phone."
"Sure. I'd love to. As long as you come pick me up." he laughed again.
"Sure. I'll be there in 10 minutes."
"Ok."

I hung up and got ready. In 10 minutes he texted me saying that he was here. I walked downstairs and told Alyssa that I was going out with Mason. "Just be home by dinner please. Felicia wants us all to have a nice dinner here." "Ok." I said as I walked outside and to Mason's car. I got in and said hi. "So, where are we going?" He answered, "The beach." "I don't have a swim suit though." He laughed and said, "It's fine. I don't either."

We got there and when he got out a blanket. We found a secluded area with barely anyone around and he laid the blanket down. We just started talking and he said, "Juliette can I tell you something." I looked at him and said, "Yea sure. What's up?" "I like you. Like, really like you." I looked at him confused. "I like you too. You are a really good friend to me." His smile fades a bit and said, "No Juliette. I mean like, more than a friend and I was wondering if you would want to go on a date with me. Not this one though." I like Mason . I really do and this could help me get my mind off of Malachi so I said, "I would love that." He hugged me and I said, "I owe Momona $40 now."

Malachi POV

When I got home I went up to Juliette's room to tell her what happened. When I didn't see her in her room I went downstairs to ask Alyssa and my mom where she is. "Oh she's out with Mason but I'm pretty sure she'll be back soon." Alyssa said. "Oh."
