------------------------------------I sigh knowing I will have to get the job at the girl's home... I slip on my coat and open the door. Taking my first step into the snow I feel my body shiver and I feel the harsh cold air hit my skin... I push through the snow, shoving branches out of my way, as a tree had fallen earlier... I begin to be in proximity of the girl's home and sigh... I don't necessarily have any other work options besides the bakery and the farm, the farm was hard on my body and I could barely even cook spaghetti- I knock on the door and am greeted by my aunt.... she smiles and grabs me, pulling me inside the girls home... It was warm here, and I felt better. I smile softly as Auntie Ann holds me, she always has soft yet warm hands. She steps back and guides me to the owner's office, who I am yet to meet although I have visited the girl's home for years. "Be careful with what you say to her alright, She's very moody today..." Auntie Ann said as she opened the office door to allow me into the room. I wave awkwardly and smile nervously... "Uhm... Hello ma'am-!.." The black chair spins around to face me, she took a drag of her cigarette and lays her feet on the desk, she wore black work boots and a black button-up dress. "What is it that you seek? I'm very busy you know..." I shuffle back a bit to avoid the foul-smelling smoke... "I wish to be employed here... You see, I recently quit my previous farm job..." "And why exactly did you quit...? How do I know you won't quit this job as well...?" I look at the floor and gulp feeling a knot tie in my throat... Feeling anxious around this woman, her aura is very aggressive. "I... I just need something to keep myself on my feet-! I won't quit promise...!" I look at her and smile a bit trying not to look afraid of what she'll say... She sighs and hands me a small stack of paperwork, "Here, fill this out and you'll get the job... Don't let me down, kid." She takes another drag of her cigarette, blowing the smoke in my face, I hold my breath, the smoke smelled horrible and I had always disliked its scent. I smile a bit and exit Ms. Doll's office rather quickly, I scurry around the building desperately trying to find Auntie Ann, I run into her and my papers fly out of my hands... a mess of paperwork now on the floor... I groan not knowing how they were ordered! "Ann-! I think I got the job..." "That's great Maggie! I'm sure you'll become a perfect maiden!" She smiles sweetly at me and helps me pick up the papers. I smile at my loving Auntie and struggle to hold my papers in place- Ann hands me a pen and I take a seat on the floor, reading through the papers and signing anything I'm required to sign. It took me around twenty to thirty minutes to try and finish the paperwork without rushing through it, I smile softly as I get up and make my way towards Ms. Doll's office, I was still anxious around her and didn't reow if she liked me or disliked me yet... Her feelings are hard to read as she always looks angry or annoyed. I gently place the papers on her desk and bow my head to show her my respect, I hear a loud slamming sound as I exit... I worry... I gulp but don't turn back, I feel myself shiver as the front door opens abruptly... the snow flys in and I feel a strange uneasy presence now... My eyes dart to Auntie Ann who struggled to understand how the door had opened with such force, yet nobody was there. "Ann-?" I ask and she stares at me.... "Hm-?" she hums as she steps a bit closer, "Nevermind..."
