I wrote this while listening to Put It Straight and Vampire (by Olivia Rodrigo) so...
Also this was supposed to be posted when soojin first posted on her new insta account but I got busy and couldn't post it in time :p _________________________________________
"Hi, baby!" You said as Miyeon walked into the house and put her bag down on the ground. Usually, she would smile from ear to ear and run up to you and hug you. But, today was different. She looked at you with sadness in her eyes, something you'd only seen when she had bad days.
You figured she was having a bad day today so you asked her, "You okay, baby?" She looked at you, nodded her head (yes), and went upstairs to her room.
You thought this was strange but you didn't think much of it until 5 minutes later you heard something upstairs.
You walked up and the noise seemed to be coming from her room. You opened the door to see her on her bed hugging a pillow and crying into it. You didn't want to ask her about it as you figured she was having a bad day. But you were curious.
You walked downstairs and picked up your phone from the couch. You quickly texted the first person you'd know would answer quickly: Soyeon.
You: hey, soyeon. i need 2 ask you something Soyeon: ask away You: why is miyeon acting so sad? Soyeon: ... You: what? You: sso you're scaring me... Soyeon: soojin... You: what about soojin? Soyeon: have you not heard? soojin left us. You: where did she go? Soyeon: She didn't go anywhere. She left gidle. You: WHAT?!?! Soyeon: bullying allegations. Soyeon: anyways, have a good day :)
You put your phone down slowly, trying to comprehend what just happened.
"Soojin left (G)I-DLE? That's nonsense!" You whispered under your breath. "I-I talked to her like a week ago and she didn't tell me anything about leaving.." Well it all made sense why Miyeon was so sad.
You went up to Miyeon's room and opened the door. "Yeonie..?" You asked and she looked up at you. "Hm?" She replied. "Soo.. Soojin left...?" You asked. She put her head back down and you heard a soft yes. You walked toward the bed and sat down next to her. "I miss her and it's only been a few hours since she left." She said while putting her head down on your shoulder. "PD-nim said that we might disband." She said, sniffing after she said 'disband'.
She put her head in her hands and cried. You couldn't say anything. Or rather, you didn't know what to say. No one would have after they had just gotten the shocker of their life. Soojin was one of your favorite members, she was so talented and never failed to put a smile on your face.
"It's my fault," Miyeon said a few minutes later. "I should've done something to stop the allegations but...it's too late now. She's gone." She continued to cry while you put your hand on her back and rubbed circles into it.
"She'll be back soon, baby. I know so." Actually, you didn't know so. You were just trying to make her (and yourself) feel better and it seemed to work because she looked at you and smiled sadly, "I hope so..." She said and put her head into your chest (?).
"I miss her." She said. You did too but you didn't know how to respond so you nodded softly and you brushed her hair with your hands...

I know I'm like super late to this but SOOJIN POSTED ON INSTAGRAM!!!!! WHEN I FOUND OUT I WAS SO HAPPY (SHOCKED BUT HAPPY) I hope this means we get a solo debut from her. 🤞🤞
