Millions of years ago, in a time long forgotten, existed higher beings infused with mighty elemental powers, each one in charge of an essential part of the development and evolution of humanity.

The Goddess of Fire, who watched over humanity during the day with her light, gifted the humans fire, so they could see in places her light didn't shine.

The God of Water, he gave them vast seas to explore, filled with wondrous creatures and beautiful underwater plants.

The God of Metal filled the earth with vital minerals so humanity could build more robust tools and evolve their buildings.

The Goddess of Nature, sister to the God of Metal, gave the humans fertile lands, mountains to climb, and forests filled with flora and fauna.

The gods themselves evolved as well, forming unexpected bonds with one another. Fire and Metal fell in love, as well as Water and Nature, both couples giving birth to new gods.

The Goddess of Light, like her parents, contributed and gave humanity the ability to see all different varying colours as well as reflections.

The God of Ice gave the humans a new season, Winter, one they could profit from and derive pleasure from.

The Goddess of Air, twin sister to Ice, gave the humans the wind they needed to sail her father's seas and to form her mother's mountains.

By an unknown miracle, The Goddess of Air was given a son, a god who could create electrical storms.

When he came of age, the God of Thunder didn't want to give the humans anything for fear they would despise him. Still, his mother convinced him, and he gave humanity thunderstorms, which gave them an impressive lightning show.

As every 50 decades passed, the gods passed on their powers to pure-hearted humans after proving their goodness to them. In turn, those demigods watched over the humans in disguise to not be seen.

Unfortunately, one of the demigods wrongly judged a human as pure-hearted. He turned to the darkness, promising to keep his power from being passed down. For decades, the demigods searched for this human, never finding him. They always passed down this mission to the next demigods, hoping he would be caught and stopped one day.

However, as time passed, humanity had forgotten the gods, and the demigods thought this malevolent human had died.

Less than two decades ago, the current demigods had each chosen a baby human to watch over. They thought once the babies came of age, each would be tested to see if they had grown up to deserve such powerful gifts.

Today, those babies have grown up to become six beautiful girls, currently finishing their last year in Grandview High as seniors. To the demigods' surprise, some of the girls have grown up to be quite different from each other.

Elena Hayes, the young woman that the God of Fire is watching over, is currently on her way to the cafeteria after leaving the principal's office for the fourth time this week. She searches the ample space only to find her best friend waving her over to a table.

Lucinda Ray, Elena's best friend and the one being watched by the God of Thunder gives Elena her lunch and rapidly notices her paint-covered hands.

"El, did you spray paint something again? Is that why Principal XXX called you into his office?" she says, laughing it off as she rolls her eyes.

"I may have given the east wall a little paint job this morning but don't worry, I only got detention," Elena exclaims with no hint of regret in her voice.

"Isn't that like your third detention this month?" Lucinda laughs.

"Maybe," Elena says, laughing along with Lucinda.
