The Decision

CRUSH?

Marinette arrives at the front doors of the school with waffle in her mouth.

"IM LATTTTTTTE!" Shouts Marinette but sorta muffled because of the waffle.
Shes running through the halls and barges into her classroom as everyone stares at her.

"Marinette? Your late." says Mrs. Bustier.

"I know.. I'm sorry." Marinette says as she walks up the steps to her seat. She sits down and puts her head on her desk, covering her face.

"What do you do in the mornings?" Whispers alya.

"What do you mean? I shower, change, eat breakfast, you know, the usual?" says marinette as she faces alya to make a confused look.

" I meant what do you do in the mornings to make yourself so late all the time!"

" OH that's what you meant.. well I slept in.."

" Of course you did.. you know, I might just call you every morning just so your ring tone wakes you up."

"Yeah, yeah.. okayyy" Marinette says sarcastically as she grabs her notebook due to Mrs. Bustiers instructions and continues on with the rest of the class.
She notices adrien turn around a couple times to look at her.
After class she heads down to her locker to get her notebook for her next class. She uses this time to talk to tikki.
"Marinette don't forget you have patrol later!"

"I know I know!" She shuts her locker to see adrien on the other side. Looking at her with a very smug look.

"Hey marinette!"

"AH! You scared me... did you need something?" Marinette says as she has her hand on her chest trying to control her heart beat from the scare.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you! I was just wondering if you wanted to walk to class together?"

"You.. wanted to walk to class? But why? N-not that there is anything wrong with that but- just like.. why?" Marinette says while flailing her arms around as her face starts to turn pink.

"Well because friends walk to class together right? And we have the same class next so it's perfect!" Adrien says as he shows the purest smile ever.

"O-oh sure! Yeah! Of course we can walk to class together! Hehe.."

They both chat and walk to class. They continue their day as they usually would. After school marinette is walking alone.
She thinks to herself.

" why was my skin getting so hot everytime I talked to adrien? Do I like him? I don't think I do...? I mean he is handsome.. and super nice and really generous and- OMG. Do I-" Marinettes thoughts get cut off.

"Hey girl!" Shouts alya.

"Hey dudette!" Shouts Nino.

Marinette turns back to see alya and Nino running up to marinette.

"You wanna have a sleepover later?" Alya asks as she jumps next to marinette putting her hand on her shoulder.

Marinette thinks to herself and realizes what tikki said earlier that she has patrol later with chat noir.

"Oh, sorry alya! I- I have to... help my parents with the bakery!" Marinette lies.

"Isn't the bakery closed today?" Says alya with that mom stand she does whenever she knows Marinette lying.

" Uh- not anymore?" Marinette thinks of another excuse.

" It's okay you don't have to hang, call me though!" Alya walks away with Nino as they hold hands.

Adrien walks up to marinette.
"Hey girly pop!" He's says with a grin.

Marinettes jumps.

" SORRY WHAT DID YOU SAY?" She's in shock and turns around.
" OH hey adrien!"

"Sorry, just something I heard alya say. Is it bad?" He puts his hand on his neck.

"O-oh no of course not! I-I mean it's a little weird coming from you but you can say it?" Marinette giggles a little.

Gorilla honks the horn, calling for adrien.

"Looks like my ride is here! I'll see you tomorrow!"

"Adrien! W-wait!"

"Is something wrong marinette?" He says as he turns around and makes intense eye contact with marinette.

Her face turns bright red looking into his emerald eyes.
"Um n-never mind!" She looks at the ground trying not to have a panic attack.

Adrien looks at her lips, and notices them quivering. He looks at her puzzled.

"Okay! Well see you tomorrow!"

He walks down the steps leaving her alone.

"Why is my heart beating so fast.." Adrien whispers to himself.

Marinette looks around to see if she sees any civilians.
Tikki flys out of her bag.

"Marinette, what was that?" Tikki says with a smirk.

"Let's just go home..."
They walk home and head up to marinettes room after talking with her parents for a bit.

Marinette jumps onto her chair and hops onto her computer. She works on her homework and falls asleep on her desk with her head laying on her arm.

"MARINETTE GET UP!" Tikki yells.

Marinette falls out of her chair and onto her butt.
She's laying on the ground with a tired expression.

"What now tikki.."

"YOU NEED TO GO TO PATROL REMEMBER?!"

"OOPS! Tikki spots on!"
