SANAA'S POV HOUSTON ,TEXAS
HER & KAYLA'S HOUSE Wednesday-May.10th, 2023. 3:25pm
We were having a little get together at my house. We didn't want a big baby shower so we just invited our closes friends and family to announce what we were having. I was ready to eat and gts, I had been so cranky lately
"Alright alright yall let's get this over with" I said with an attitude
"Damnn what's your problem?" Saint asked me
"She's hungry and needa eat" Kayla said as she grabbed my hand
All I did was side eye her, even though it was true.
"Alright now don't be telling all my business" I said as I walked over to the chairs in the front
"Yes ma'am" I heard Kayla puff out
I gave her them eyes ya mama give you when you touch something in the store after she said not to.
She looked at me scared then walked away to go fix me some food. after she fixed me a plate she came bring it back to me and i immediately stuffed my face.

As we started finishing the cupcakes I got mad because we couldn't find the one with the gender or at least that's what they were saying.
"Find itttt" I whined out
"Mama we're trying" Kayla said as she rubbed her temples
I continued to fuss with her while trying not to cry Kayla's mom came running towards us
"I got ittt!!" She yelled
"What is it?!" I asked
She hand me the broken cupcake and it revealed pink.
"Omg omg" I screamed
"Well what is it?!" Blessing yelled
"A GIRL" I said jumping up excitedly
Blessing ran up to me and hugged me tightly. I was so excited to finally get my girl.
"Lord Messiah about to be a mean ass older brother" Houston said
"Ntmm on my pooh" Blessing said
I just laughed at them bickering. I waddled over to we're Kayla's parents and talked to them.
"Congratulations my girl" Mrs.Michelle said as she rubbed my arm
"Thank you momma" I said smiling
Mrs.Michelle played the role of my mom when my real mother didn't wanna play her damn role.
"Ofc, you talked to your mom?" She asked
"Yea when I first found out but she don't want shit to do with me or her grandkids momma.." I said kinda heartbroken
I was used to my mom not wanting to be nothing in my life but it kinda stung still.
"That's alright love, you'll always have us" she said
I nodded then continued to talk to them before my phone started ringing. I looked down at the contact and it was an unknown number but I answered.
"Hello? Who's this?" I asked
"Hello Miss Reeves, this is Dr.Corgis at the more. If you could please come down here to identify the body of Samaya Turner before tmrw Evening that would be great." He said
My heart dropped, yea we didn't see eye to eye the last few times we saw each other but didn't mean I never loved my cousin. She didn't have nobody..only me.
"W-will do" I said before hanging up
I teared up, Maya was dead . How? She was a bitch but I'd never wish death on someone.
I walked up to Kayla who was talking to Saint. I didn't wanna interrupt their conversation but I went in and hugged her. As I hugged her I started crying into her shirt.
"Baby what's wrong??" She asked
"Maya's dead" I sobbed into her shirt
She didn't say anything, all she did was rub my back and kissed my head letting me know that everything would be okay soon.
