Curiousity killed the opportunity

Curious is dangerous

At the start in a certain school, it was truly peaceful morning before then destroyed by the presence of two people, a boy and a girl whom look really close. The two are really popular as people keep talking about them but these two didn't care and only talk to each other and goes to their classroom with the same atmosphere, people talk about them and only stops when the class bell ringing.

After a while, the raven green hair streak girl looks at the clock ticking anxiously with her hazel eyes. Looking at that brought chuckle from the silver hair boy whom causing his sapphire eyes twinkle at the cute antic of hers mumbling how cute she is. Once the lunch break bells ringing, it was the raven haired girl whom looking the happiest.

"Killua~ lets go to the cafeteria now" the raven girl said, looking at the silver haired boy in excitement before rushing out from the classroom.

"Hey c'mon, wait for me, Gon" Killua shook his head lightly in amusement before following Gon out to cafeteria.

Once the two of them out, murmurs and grumbles soon filling the classroom, some are with amusement and resentment. Both Killua and Gon are definitely the people they kept talk about, with Killua being really rich and handsome then Gon, a well endowed beauty which stole so many guys heart with her angel like demeanor though Killua always being the guy obstacle and Gon being the girls obstacle as they are always together.

"Those two are really close for best friend"

"Aren't they dating? It seems like it"

"Killua-samaaaa NOOOOOOOO"

"NOOO, my goddesses Gonnnn~"

Once the two are in cafeteria, Gon tilt her head in confusion "Did someone just called us?"

"No Gon, its just your imagination" Killua said which made Gon nod and orders her food. Killua did hear people calling out their name but he rather ignores them, his time together with Gon is the most important after all. He ignores the murmur and chatters around before order his food and take his seat in front of her.

"Haaa~Lunchbreak is the best~" Gon smile in bliss as she munches her food which Killua nod in agreement before eating his food, though the reason is way different. Gon in bliss because she can eat and forget about studying while Killua in bliss for looking at her and her cute expression.

"Killua, try this, this is delicious" Gon said and instantly thrust her chopstick with food in front of his mouth. Killua looks at the food then Gon in few times before shyly eats it with blush adorn his face. Gon giggles as she looks at the sight of Killua munching his food which Killua shyly looks away, he rather looks at Gon, not being looked at.

The girls around them instantly girth their teeth, some are biting their handkerchief. The guys are the same, they slightly pound their table and some glares at Killua in jealousy.

The two are completely unaware as they just enjoying each other's presence. Once they finished eating, they decided to hangs around the courtyard as they still have some free time left.

Once they are in courtyard, they climb the tree there to have their own conversation in their own place. Despite so many teachers already telling them off, they still did it as that's already become their favorite place.

"Waaa~Today's wind is really nice" Gon said as she felt the wind brushing against her hair which Killua thought of her as shampoo model in split second.

"Oi Gon, be careful" Killua motion Gons to be quiet "There's a teacher nearby"

The two instantly goes quiet and slightly climbs higher to avoid being spotted. Once the teacher gone, they grins and chuckle before laughing softly in celebration for their successful attempts in avoiding the teacher. Afterwards they continue their chatter until its time for the next lesson.

While lunch break is the blissful time for Gon, there's another which she loves, and that is PE. Gon instantly pump her fist in excitement while Killua shrugs after they are done changing and prepares for their physical activity.

"Looks like we are running now, want to have a race?" Killua taunts Gon and obviously Gon took it as serious challenge.

"Fine, lets race. Loser pays for dinner!" Gon declared as she goes in position, the same for Killua.

" 1...2...GO!!!"

The two sprints at same time and starts to run laps without decreasing their speed. Still with few seconds difference, Killua wins the race.

"Mou..." Gon puff her cheeks in annoyed manner while Killua nudge Gon playfully "Hey, you did come close. If I let my guard down, you definitely would win"

Gon laughs in glee before crushed by what Killua said next.

"You owe me dinner though"

Gon starts to pout while Killua laughs out loud before then ends the PE without any accidents. The teacher in charge of PE sigh in relief because usually both Gon and Killua wants to continue their PE competition and at times quarrel at who is winning even though most of the times are ended in draw.

Once its time to go home, both Killua and Gon prepares themselves for another outing which brought more jealousy as most students are still in their classroom and watching the two of them. As they chatter on where they should go to have more fun with Killua teasing on her buying him dinner, one student can't handle his curiosity anymore.

"Ano, Killua? Gon?"

Both Killua and Gon turn their head to look at their curious classmates. He starts to stutters a bit before then asks the question that representing their class.

"Are you two dating?"

Silence, the usually noisy classroom instantly quiet as they too, had no idea if both Killua and Gon are dating or not so they are waiting in anticipation.

"Ah, no. We are just close best friends" Gon instantly answers without skipping a beat which Killua just goes quiet with their classmates now starts to rejoice that they are not dating and plotting on confessing.

"O..Oh, is that so? You two just look really close, like a couple"

"Huh?" Now Gon looks perplexed with a blush before then rub the back of her head "S..So everyone...think of us that way?" The curious student nodded and motion to everyone as well whom now all smiles and grins for having opportunity.

"A..Ahaha..." Gon laughs awkwardly "S..sorry Killua, I didn't mean to.. um"

"Ah, sure" Killua replied, albeit with a heavy tone and not looking at Gon after her reply and right now.

"What a relief" That curious student instantly being glared at Killua as he said that but didn't notice before continues "You didn't think of Killua that way, right Gon?"

Gon merely blush and look down shyly in replies which brought the curious student in dumbfounded face.

"Y..You did?"

Gon tries to speak despite her blushing face, but can't find the words and merely stutters. "Um...uh..." before then look away and notices Killua looking at her. She wants to look away but looking at Killua somehow releif face, she couldn't.

"So... you, think of me that way, Gon?" Killua asked, slightly enjoying Gon's red face got brighter when looking at him.

She didn't answer but look at Killua in a look that's... very different from what she usually look at Killua.

Looking at that made Killua lets out a bright smile, getting the answer then grab her hand which brought a squeak out from Gon. Killua then look at his classmates and the curious student, lets out a smug grin then says the final answer.

"We are dating now, thanks~"

Once the two out of their classroom. All of them are jaw dropped and dumbfounded, especially the curious student whom now know what he has done.

His curiosity has killed their opportunity and all due to curiosity.
