"Thank you for coming by Y/N, I greatly appreciate it." Ms. Cruise spoke, the therapist sitting across from you had her hand on her forehead, rubbing her temple gently. She seemed a little stressed, however there was a glimmer of relief in her gentle eyes. "Mr. Sweet just seems to prefer being home most of these days. It isn't good for someone who has suffered so much loss to be on their own like this."

"I understand, I'll do what I can." You say after a few short moments. Ms. Cruise slid over a file on the coffee table that separated you from her, and you lean in close to look at the title on the front.

Mr. Sweet Information File

"I made you this so you can be aware of any triggers, it'll just help you handle living with him better." Mr. Sweet's therapist continued, explaining the information within the file as you picked it up into your hands, opening to see a document with little to no information available at all.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Do you have any questions?" Ms. Cruise asked you as you were reading through the information, majority of it being things you've already known... though the dislike of the color red caught you off guard. Oh well, just means you'll have to throw away that pretty red dress you were planning on wearing. "No, I think I am alright, thank you Ms. Cruise, I'll keep in touch." You say politely to the woman with a smile, and she returns the expression.

Escorting you out of her office, you walk down to your vehicle and check your phone to find a few missing messages from Mr. Sweet, whose contact you have saved.

The messages read, "Hey KitKat, did you need help packing your things? I know your landlord gave you a hard time about moving out... if it's too stressful just let me know, please. I don't want to be a burden."

You grin at the nickname. You remembered the history behind it, slowly your mind wandered into a blast to the past. You and Mr. Sweet were walking through the gas station, a $5 clutched in his hands as you looked through the candy isle. Passing by Hershey chocolate bars, jolly ranchers and gummy bears, Mr. Sweet picked something specific out. "Hey look at this Y/N, doesn't this look yummy?" The young Mr. Sweet turned to you, holding up a mega kitkat bar. You both could smell the warm chocolate from the outside of the wrapping, Mr. Sweet's warm hands making the chocolate inside slowly melt, creating the sweet aroma. Smiling, you agree that this was the candy bar you both should purchase, and it was the first thing Mr. Sweet had ever bought for you. Ever since, it has been your favorite candy bar, and your go-to snack.

Slowly coming back to reality, you realize you have quite the grin on your face. The memory was bittersweet, considering the current circumstances. Pulling out of the parking lot with all of your things packed up in the truck and back seats, you make your way to Mr. Sweet's house.

Despite the fire, Mr. Sweet's house survived. The fire department arrived in time to save the structure, and over the weeks after, the walls and floors that were burnt were rebuilt, good as new. It was rough for Mr. Sweet. What once was a lively house with a full family and pet, now was a quiet space. The fridge was almost always empty, the floors never swept. He didn't leave his room often, fearing that one of the days he would go crazy from seeing the beds his family used to lay in. Their photos still hung up on the walls, a constant reminder of the family the house used to shelter. And yet despite all of these tragic reminders, Mr. Sweet insisted on having a funeral, which is where you met Ms. Cruise, his therapist. She brought up the idea of you moving in with him, so he wouldn't be alone anymore. Mr. Sweet seemed to like the idea when you brought it up the day following the funeral. Since then you've been meeting with Ms. Cruise regularly, discussing your moving in status.
