"Here we go." Daniella Umbridge muttered to herself as she walked up the steps to the house of a party that the school's jock, was holding. She never came to parties like these, but she decided to do something new since she didn't have anything else to do. She was the school's emo kid or loner, and she knew it.
"Come on, Nathan! It's a party!!" Nathaniel Hunter's friend shouted over the music. He faked a smile and looked back down. I would rather be studying then this. He thought, looking around at all the girls and their mini skirts, drunk teens, hormonal teenage boys looking to get into a girl's pants. He covered his ears to shield out the loud music, completley hating his friend for dragging him here. He was the school's nerd and he knew it.
"So, how is it with you and Collin?" Erica screamed over the music, trying to make conversation with her best friend.
"Good, I guess." Bella Oliver responded, shrugging. She took a cup of beer and looked at Erica. "So, are we going to do the Pep Ralley on Tuesday? Did you guys memorize the cheers?" She asked, hoping that they memorized it. She was the school's head cheerleader with the quarter back boyfriend, and she loved it.
"It's too loud!!" Dawn Jefferson shouted, going out to the patio and silently hating her mom for making her come. She would much rather be at home, tending to her garden, or meditating, or reading a book. Anything quiet. She was the school's wall flower, tree hugger, peace lover, and she would much rather be that than some other loud, dumb, self-absorbed cheerleader or popular girl.
"Okay. Who are you going to pick?" Ricky asked. Collin Green just shrugged, no one fit his liking. No one. "Well, you've got to pick four people." He advised Collin.
"Okay. I choose...." He scanned the crowd. His eyes searching for someone he knows he'll trust. Of course! Bella, she's my girlfriend!! He thought. "Bella."
"Okay, three more. And you can't know them."
"Uh..." He observed the normal-looking teens. Suddenly, his eyes stopped at a strange flash of color- a girl's purple hair. "Her." He pointed at the girl with pale skin and purple-white hair, standing there, bored.
"Two more." Ricky warned in a sing-song voice.
"Okay. Random pick." He muttered, he closed his eyes and pointed to a random spot in the house. When his eyelids lifted, he was pointing at the patio door, a red head girl was standing at the railing, feeling the wind in her hair.
"One left."
"Okay." Better pick a guy this time, Ricky might think that I just fucked all of the girls. Collin thought, looking for at least on guy that isn't drunk and not having any fun. "Him." He pointed towards a boy with brown hair and black rimmed glasses.
"Okay. After the party." Ricky said, walking of. After he was gine I let out a breath of air I didn't even know I was holding in.
"This should be fun." I muttered.
