You wouldn't call yourself a stud persay, you were more of a no label in your opinion. And lately, you had been swooning over the little things the captain of the basketball team was doing.

Who is the captain?

Ms. Chlöe "fine as wine" Bailey.

It wasn't unusual to see Chlöe walking around in her letterman's jacket, talking to her best friends, Normani, the head cheerleader, Megan, the token two-way player of the basketball team and Courtney, point guard for the basketball team. Chlöe's a slim thick light skin girl with long locs and a captivating smirk. She's a cocky and conceited muthafucka who loves to show everybody up in everything but despite that, she's a real good person. Even Stevie Wonder could see that.

You tried to tell yourself that your sudden feelings for Chlöe Bailey was just an admiration thing, but you couldn't deny the fact that you had grown a tiny crush on the slightly taller girl. You wouldn't tell her this though. In your opinion, you're way out of her league.

Bailey

Chlöe stares at the girl sitting across the library with intense eyes. While her three best friends talked, she just looked at the shorter figure. The girl was wearing a white wifebeater, a pair of grey sweats with a pair of all white timbs. She was very petite but you could tell she worked out as she was kind of muscular. The girl was looking down at whatever notes she was taking while pushing up her glasses that slid down her face every so often,

"Chlöe, I know yo ass ain't checkin out Y/n L/n while we tryna spill the tea!" Megan quietly exclaims. Chlöe sucks her teeth, "I'm not checking nobody out." She says. Normani shrugs, "I don't know, twin. Kinda seems like you were checking her out on the low." She points out. Halle, Chlöe's baby sister, nods, "You most definitely were." She says. Chlöe sighs, "And if I was? Please, continue your damn story." She snaps softly. Courtney raises an eyebrow, "Hell nah, fuck that story. You got a crush on wonder nerd?" She asks.

Solana, another one of Chlöe and Normani's mutual friends, hums, "She is fine, my lord that girl fine. But, she's quiet as hell, she keeps to herself a lot." She says. Megan nods, "I only heard hottie say two words and they were quiet as hell. I'm tryna figure out what she is though. A stud?" Normani shakes her head, "Nah nah, I seen homegirl walk in this bitch with a crop and jeans on before and she looked damn good! I call it like how I see it, she most definitely a stem." She points out.

Halle shrugs, "She could be a no label too." She also points out. Chlöe huffs, "Can we stop talking about this? It's embarrassing enough the nerd is attractive to me, I don't wanna keep hearing about her." She states. Courtney shrugs, "I say talk to her. She ain't a lame, she seem really chill, on me." She says. Solana nods, "That part. Y'all ain't een gotta date forreal, y'all can be friends."

"With benefits." Megan adds making the table of girls crack up. The librarian shushes them making them instantly shut up. Normani points at Chlöe, "And, she's cool with my baby Lauren, so I say bag her." She states. Chlöe shrugs, "I'll think about it." She mutters quietly, looking over at the table once more. Y/n was now reading a book. Courtney shakes her head, "Chile, anyways."

After lunch, the girls parted ways. Chlöe was still in the library. She had just finished packing up and was about to head out until she heard a voice, "Um, excuse me." Chlöe turned a bit just to see the girl behind her, holding a journal, "You... forgot this, i-it fell out of your bag." Y/n says quietly. Chloe takes her journal in her hand, "Thank you." She says with a slight smirk.

Y/n felt her face heat up, "I um, my name's Y/n." She greets. Chlöe nods, "Chlöe." She greets back, patting the shorter girl's cheek before walking off.

Words couldn't describe how... excited you were by Chlöe even just looking your way. The way she looked you up and down before taking her book back and the way she smirked at you made you weak in the knees. It was like the girl know she's fine. You gently touched your cheek with a bright smile before heading off to your class.

During class, you would sneak glances at Chlöe who was sitting beside you today. Of course, your ELA teacher decided to switch seats the day you have an interaction with your crush, "Y/n, read this quote to me." The teacher says. You cleared your throat, "Forgiveness condones nothing, but it does cast off the chains of anger, judgement, resentment, denial, and pain that choke growth. In this way, it allows for life, for freedom." You read out loud.

The teacher nods, "Y/n, explain what that means to you." He says quietly. You leaned back in your chair and shrugged, "People hold on to resentment and pain on stuff they have no control over, really. People will hold on to that anger, that hatred, those negative emotions to a certain someone and that will cloud their days and their thoughts and they won't ever let it go and then their are people that choose to let go of those negative emotions, they choose to forgive so they won't have to suffer with those emotions a-and be subjected to those hateful thoughts and stuff, you know? They can forgive, but it doesn't necessarily mean forget." (A/n I want y'all to answer this too frl)

The teacher smiles, "That right there. Grade A answer. See, I used Y/n as an example to show you guys exactly what I want in your detailed explanation on your worksheet, I don't want no half assed answers, ight?" He says. The students nodded, "Yes, Mr. Griffin." They said. You glanced over, only to see Chlöe looking back at you.

And you two just looked at each other.
