"THIRD door on the second floor, left wing," Nazomi said. "Four men guarding the entrance. Another four inside, standing by the door."

(Y/N) ascended the stairs of the mansion, stepping over the bloodied bodies sprawled across the floor. These men were loyal—too loyal. And for what? Their boss wouldn't hesitate to abandon them, the same way he'd soon meet the same end.

"(Y/N)-san, hold up a second," Nazomi's voice crackled through her earpiece. She paused. The sound of rapid keystrokes and mouse clicks filled her ear.

"More men incoming. Reinforcements from the bottom stairs. Entrance security's been doubled—ten in total now."

A frustrated sigh slipped from her lips. "Just great," she muttered, tapping her earpiece. "Is there another way in?"

Shouts erupted from the first floor. Heavy, thundering footsteps approached fast. She didn't bother looking back. She could already tell they were getting closer.

"There is," Nazomi replied. "Through the window."

(Y/N) glanced at the window beside her. Outside was an infinity-edge pool stretching into an outdoor sitting area. Beyond that: another lounge and an expansive field that led into the woods. She edged closer, analyzing the terrain.

"Wait... (Y/N)-san," Nazomi's voice wavered like he was trying not to laugh.

She ignored him and opened the window, checking if the coast was clear.

"(Y/N)-san... w-wait—"

Too late.

She jumped.

She landed with grace, both feet hitting the grass softly. A deep sigh followed from Nazomi.

"I was joking," he confessed.

(Y/N) clicked her tongue and tapped her earpiece. "Nazomi, would you like your head to be served with stew or would you like it grilled?"

"A-Ahaha, s-sorry! No more jokes!" he sputtered. "But—if you step back a bit, you should be able to see where our targets are."

She took a few steps back. Just like he said, she caught sight of two men playing cards in a well-guarded room. They were laughing, drinking, completely unaware. It made her sick.

Their men had died for them—loyal to the end. And these two? Sitting there, wasting time like cowards.

Her eyes swept across the room, pausing at the dark corner near a cabinet. The shadow it cast was dark enough.

Perfect.

Her form began to fade—starting at her feet, climbing to her head—until she disappeared entirely.

She reappeared in the room's shadowed corner. Her ability—Judgment of the Darkness—had allowed her to teleport between shadows. A smirk curved her lips as she stepped into view, clapping her hands.

Everyone turned at once. Guns raised. The two gang leaders stood abruptly, poker cards abandoned on the table.

"Oh? Were you playing poker?" she asked sweetly. "My apologies. Got a little lost. Hope I'm not interrupting anything too... intense."

According to Yuzuki's files, the one on the right was Yutaka Ito, and the one on the left, Taichi Kaito. Both men looked furious.

The room was soundproof. That would work to her advantage.
