Is paddle boat insensitive to motorboats or something? I can't keep up." Maria giggled, loving how Penelope was inclusive and willing to learn whatever Elena spoke about.

"No, it's just, we're not calling Syd my girlfriend anymore," Elena explained, Maria nodding along. She'd told Elena and Syd that she could help with ideas to call Syd, and they didn't mind. Although she hadn't exactly come up with any.

"To be clear, Elena's okay with me calling her my girlfriend," Syd added. Maria thought Syd was cool, they were funny too.

"I like hearing it." Elena giggled, linking arms with Syd.

"I like saying it." Syd giggled back, Maria thought they were adorable. She thought they were the most loving couple she'd ever seen.

"Focus." Elena and Syd nodded, getting back on track with their conversation.

"Since Syd identifies as non-binary I want to call them by a term that's more acceptable and inclusive," Elena explained, the game paused on the TV.

"I'm partial to...my everything." Syd smiled, linking arms with Elena again.

"I like it."

"Nope, you gotta reel that in. Oh, you know what I always thought was so cute? Better half." Maria thought that was cute, but from Elena's reaction, she knew Elena didn't like it.

"I don't wanna call Syd half a person. What if I tell people you're my better whole?" Elena gasped, and Syd nodded excitedly.

"You're not saying that. Don't you have anything better to do than sit around and think of names to call each other?" Penelope asked, putting things into her work bag.

"Alright, I've been brainstorming names all night. Main Squeeze, Person Friend, Your Gay of Sunshine." Schneider announced, walking into the apartment suddenly. Maria had begun to loosen up, she enjoyed living with Schneider and she was happier than she'd ever been.

"Schneider, we didn't ask for your help. In fact, we specifically said, do not help us." Maria giggled, she loved that Schneider always wanted to be helpful.
