Johnny came secretly into Dally's room, (or both their room at this point), tip-toeing. Johnny was very careful to not wake his love up, considering it was 3:00 in the morning. He had been out, trying to get things off of his mind. He was usually out this late in the lot before Dally saved him and took him in, so he was used to it. On his way home, he had found an adorable little puppy huddled just a block away from Dally's. Johnny figured he was a homeless dog and decided to take him in, just as Dally did he. Johnny carried the pup against his chest and creeped very slowly to the bed. "Bark!". "Shh!!" Johnny loudly whispered as he gently covered his hands over the dog's mouth. Dallas squirmed, but brushed it off, thinking the weird noises were still in his dream. The dark boy looked around the room for a comfortable place to put the dog. Seeing no such place, he figured the next best thing would be Dally's jacket. So he lay the dog very softly on Dallas' jacket. He stripped down to his light blue boxers and climbed into bed. Dally awoke by the movement and wrapped an arm around Johnny, pulling him closer to his stomach. Dallas kissed Johnny's head. "I missed you Johnnycakes," "Im fine Dal, I just needed to get my mind off a' things, that's all.." Johnny replied, turning to face his love. They both stared into eachothers eyes for a bit until Dally brushed Johnny's hair out of his face. He rested his warm, soft hand on Johnny's neck. Johnny had always loved the feeling of Dally's hands. They were warm, soft, gentle. He loved the fact that these hands were Johnny's hands. He loved the fact that Dallas was the very opposite of what he showed only Johnny. He was cold, bitter and full of hate. The whole gang knew that, though. But he was only a sweetheart for Johnny. Dallas rubbed his thumb in circular motions across Johnny's neck. "Was it your parents again?" Dally said with his New York accent. "Yeah, in a way. I was just thinkin' of everything that happened before and..." a tear trickled down the smaller boys face. Silently, he was just trying to stop crying so he could finish what he was trying to say, but he just couldn't stop crying. Dallas' heart broke on the inside. Nothing was worse than his own love crying. He pulled Johnny close and hugged him tightly. He knew what Johnny was thinking, so he didn't have to finish it. His tears said enough. He just held the dark boy closely, giving him small sweet kisses here and there to calm him down, until they both fell asleep.

The next morning, sweet birds sang outside and the sun shone through the blinds. They hit Dally's eyes. Suddenly, Dallas felt a lick on his cheek. "Johnny stop.." Dallas moaned, still half asleep. "Dal.. I'm over here.." Johnny said, slightly disturbed across the room. Dallas figured out that Johnny's voice across the room and the lick directly on his face didn't add up. Someone or something was in here, and it wasn't Johnny. Dallas shot straight up and yelled out of shock. He saw Johnny across the room just staring at him weirdly like 'Dal, the fuck you screamin' for?' He looked at the foot of his bed and saw a figure jump off and head straight to Johnny. Dallas just starred as Johnny picked up the puppy and kissed its head. "Johnny what the fuck?" Dallas said still dazed with confusion. "Where did you get that thing?" "I found it!" Johnny said proudly. "Well why did you bring it in here?!" Dallas said, getting up and making his way over to the dog. He walked up, and stared at it, trying to make out what dog it was. It was a baby bull dog. "Well.." Johnny started. Dallas reached out to pet the dog, but Johnny turned away quickly to walk to the bed, not even noticing Dallas wanted to pet it. "It was hungry and alone and cold, and I couldn't just walk past it Dal," Johnny continued. "Look at its eyes!" Dallas just sat with a dumbfounded look on his face, and a loss for words. Finally Dallas spit out "You can't have that thing here! Having a dog is a lot of responsibility, it's going to be a mess, and there's even a no pets allowed rule!" "But Dally.." Johnny started. "No." "But he was just.." "No." Silence. He didn't bother to look at Johnny until he heard quiet sniffling in the corner. He looked through the corner of his eyes, to see Johnny crying, staring back at Dallas. (That is, until he noticed Dally looking). Dallas considered keeping the dog. Damn, he loved Johnny too much to say no. Jeez, was Johnny spoiled. "Ugh, fine." Dallas said stomping over to sit on the bed, pouting. Once he sat near Johnny, Johnny couldn't help but stare at Dally and smile in his face. Usually this cheered Dallas up. Johnny stayed in that position until it got the taller boy to laugh. "Johnny stop it.." Dallas said, trying not to laugh. Johnny didn't budge a single muscle. Dallas snickered. "Johnny stop it!" He said, throwing himself onto the small boy and tickling him. Johnny finally let out all the laughter he's been holding in. He kissed Dally's cheek as they both sat up.

"Well, for one, you have to name the dog." Dally said, picking up the dog from the floor and holding it in his lap. He smiled as he pet the dog. Johnny enjoyed this sight. He thought it was really adorable the way Dally was around cute animals. No one knows this but Johnny, but Dallas secretly loves animals. He freaks out everytime he sees a cute one. He just doesn't show it. But around Johnny and Johnny alone, this was the only exception. "What are you thinkin', Johnnycakes?" "Nugget." "Man now what kind of name is Nugget, eh?" Dallas said, completely baffled at such a silly name, and completely given up on Johnny for choosing such name. "Dal Im just kidding," Johnny said laughing. Johnny continued after much thought. "I like bear." "Why?" Dallas said confused. "He's a dog." "I like bear 'cause it shows the strong and tuff appearance on the outside, but on the inside, I bet he's a softy." Johnny answered. "Alright, I'm down with 'Bear'" Dally said. Dallas stared at Johnny with a smirk. "What?" the wide eyed boy questioned. Dallas raised an eyebrow and cleared his throat. "Oh! Thank you" Johnny said, scooting closer to his love and wrapping an arm around his waist. "You're welcome, Johnnycakes," Dallas said, kissing Johnny softly on the lips.
